I think I'm not explaining myself well.

My central thought is that + does not equal . Red might not get deathtouch, but green has full access to it. Why should a red/green card not get deathtouch simply because red doesn't get deathtouch?

White doesn't get deathtouch either, but Arvad the Cursed, Spiteful Squad, Wintermoor Commander, and others have deathtouch. This can only be provided by the requirement.

doesn't get first strike. Sky Spirit, Leap of Flame, Deft Duelist, and others all have first strike provided by their other colors.

Ergo, a color can provide one of its abilities to a card, even if another color can't.

can provide first strike to a card, even a card, with Neheb, the Worthy, Stromkirk Captain, and Halana and Alena, Partners.

can provide deathtouch to a card, as shown by Needlethorn Drake, Winged Coatl, and Venomthrope.

So why is unable to provide deathtouch to (and ) cards? Is somehow better at removal than these colors?

I promise I'm not asking these questions rhetorically, or in anger. I genuinely don't fully understand. And as I was writing this response, I realize my position hearkens back to GDS3 and the infamous flying vigilance question. To which I respond that since that question was asked, Warrant / Warden was printed, and still no vigilant flyer.

And I think I've derailed this enough. If anyone wants to help me out, start another thread and I'll respond. With my apologies, let's get this back to the many faces of Gruul in Commander.

Try some replicate cards. Gigadrowse targeting your opponent's whatever will get you a ton of counters on Kalamax, which you need for the one-punch. Also, Storm effects are great.

Gigadrowse, Leap of Flame, Scattershot, Sprouting Vines. You lose the cards that would be considered 'rude' so you can run these without being yelled at. Although you wouldn't really need Grapeshot or whatever to combo off, just to put a ton of counters on kally.

You would instead want a card with strive (Ajani's Presence) or replicate (Leap of Flame) or a similar ability, which allows you to target multiple creatures.

Stormchaser Mage is basically a variation of Frostburn Weird for what it is both having pros and cons imo... What do you think of this xyr0s? -1 each of Izzet Charm,Leap of Flame, Clout of the Dominus, Electrolyze and -2 Shrewd Hatchling and ditching Crackleburr altogether in favor of 4x ea. of Lightning Bolt and Spreading Seas/Serum Visions?

Shrewd Hatchling could have reduced its numbers a bit. It's a 4-mana creature in a 20-land deck, which is quite expensive, and its not really good until you've played even more spells. Not something you like to draw more than 1 of during a single game, so having 2 in the deck should probably do fine. So that's space for 2 Lightning Bolts.

The problem with shroud is, that you can't even target a shroud'ed creature. So if you go for a Leap of Flame with many copies, all to be eaten by Nivmagus Elemental, there's no copying it on a creature with shroud (illegal target).

Have you seen Stormchaser Mage? I think that one would do quite a bit better than Crackleburr (which could then go to the sideboard and wait for a matchup with very few removal spells).

Crackleburr is not good - it takes a minor army to get it working, and 2 mana pr. activation.

You should probably play 4 Serum Visions/Opt instead of a copy each of Leap of Flame, Izzet Charm, Teleportal, and Clout of the Dominus. That would also help on your mana, which seems a little on the light end (you should probably have 24 lands or so, since you want to play spells at extra cost each and every turn. And, now we're at it, playing anything that gives your creatures shroud seems like a nonbo, since you then you can't target that creature with Leap of Flame or non-overloaded Teleportal.

Oh, and your deck is definitely not a control deck - it doesn't try to interfere with your opponents plays very much (Electrolyze and Izzet Charm aren't exactly a wall of counterspells and removal), and doesn't try to win by drawing ahead on cards or getting extra use out of the cards you play.

Maybe swap out the Brainstorms for Leap of Flame. While Brainstorm is a good card it might force you to wait on cards that could save you the game. As for the creature I mentioned Maybe just put the Young Pyromancer into sideboard. But feel free just to slap my suggestions into sideboard if you so choose. Last card I'll mention is Eye of the Storm If used correctly you can turn the game into a fun house
