Creature — Zombie Beast
When Lazotep Reaver enters the battlefield, amass 1. (Put a +1/+1 counter on an Army you control. If you don't control one, create a 0/0 black Zombie Army creature token first.)
Lazotep Reaver Discussion

I like the idea behind this deck, but you would probably be better off running Judith, the Scourge Diva as your commander. Dreadhorde Invasion , Lazotep Reaver , Orzhov Enforcer , Vindictive Vampire , Ayara, First of Lochthwain would help your deck a lot IMO.

Since your plan is to establish an overwhelming board state with buffed zombies, I suggest you look up the following creatures:
Undead Augur - Very cheap card and an additional draw engine for your deck.
Butcher Ghoul and Putrid Goblin - These serve as fodder to carrion feeder or suicide squad for augur card draw. Then you can bring them back to your hand with Relentless Dead, re-cast, rinse and repeat. Very cheap cards.
Lazotep Reaver - Same as the two above but it instead of waiting for the death trigger, this gives you 2 bodies upon resolution. Very cheap.
Geralf's Messenger - Reanimates itself, good ETB x 2, good for devotion, kinda expensive though.
I haven't really looked into Throne of Eldraine, but man Murderous Rider is good! I think you should have at least 3 copies.
I limited my suggestions to <3 CMC. If you want your deck to be more competitive, lower your average CMC. Also, try to stay away from stuff that exile cards from your graveyard. I suggest you cut those.
I have paper monoB zombie tribal as well, started with more or less the same build as yours. I think you have too many lords, you only need Death Baron to control the board. Lord of the Accursed is a "win more" card, it will only slow you down. The Reaper will slow you down as well. Though it can answer graveyard problems, I prefer sideboarding Withered Wretch for that effect.
Hope this helps. Good luck on your build.

Personally, I don't like amass decks, but I'll do my best to help you out.
You need more creatures. Specifically cheap ones to get you to the mid-late game. Lazotep Reaver and Gleaming Overseer both somewhat fit those criteria, and give you a bit of amass effect too. Lazotep Plating offers protection and an early amass. Eternal Skylord is increasing that mana curve again, but it offers you some reach and protection you sorely need. I'd advise doing some testing on Bleeding Edge , because it's a removal help and amasses, but it's a double-black cost at turn three and comes out at sorcery speed. There's just not a good replacement for Cast Down in these colors. Sorry.
You wouldn't think of putting The Royal Scions in this deck normally, but it's grixis colors, gives you card filtering, and can give trample to your massive army to finish out games, so it's worth considering at least. Barge In isn't bad for trample either.
Now, to make room for all these suggestions, we need to take out some cards too. Relentless Advance is narrow, and for only 3 power you're spending four mana. Ill-Gotten Inheritance is low-impact and expensive. Cast Down and Fountain of Renewal just rotated. Since we're adding more creatures, Invade the City isn't as good, but it's still worth putting in the deck so I'd recommend going down to two copies of it. Widespread Brutality also loses some of its value since it now eliminates your creatures too, so maybe 2-3 copies of it as well.
I think with Fountain of Renewal and Ill-Gotten Inheritance you were too focused on not losing so much life from Dreadhorde Invasion . In this meta, you need to be prepared to lose life from your own cards. That card will only get you in trouble if you go late-game and can't draw Enter the God-Eternals .
I think WOTC will expand on the army creature-type, and then amass will have more of a place. But possibly only after all the amass effects have rotated just for balancing.

Hey oc616, Sorry I missed your comments earlier!
Moldervine Reclamation is a fine include for a fair Mazirek deck. I'm a big proponent of having at least a handful of effects that trigger card draw when a creature dies. That being said this isn't necessarily the most efficient one to cast (which is why its not in my list) but it is cheap to purchase which is great. If you are doing an infinite combo Loop then it can cause an issue with you milling out, but if you're just playing a fair game the fact that it doesn't say may on it doesn't matter.
Lazotep Reaver is a fine piece of fodder. If you look at the ones that I'm using in my list, it's just a tiny bit less useful/efficient than similar ones I'm using for various reasons. But I would not fault you for including it if that's what you've got. You need to have a decent amount of fodder for the deck have the fuel it needs.
Thanks for the ideas everyone! It's been such a fun deck for me to play and I'm glad other people are working on it and playing it too!!

Been doing some thinking and am a little bit more convinced that I should try out some of the cards y'all mentioned.
I had several games today and got some pretty good results. I won a good portion of them, and even when I didn't the deck still performed well. I bet a decent contributing factor was the fact that Yawgmoth hardly ever got so much as threatened with removal; unsure if the people there just don't run removal or never drew into them in all the games we played, but either way it's likely that they'll eventually wisen up to my gameplan and start doing a little bit more to disrupt me aside from constantly swinging at me.
I'm thinking of adding Viscera Seer , Phyrexian Ghoul , Flesh-Eater Imp , Reassembling Skeleton , and Skullclamp . Other than Doomed Dissenter , Dread Presence (iffy tbh), and Blood for Bones , though, I'm not sure what else would be a bearable cut.
Unstable Obelisk provides some ramp early game and can eventually be used to remove some threatening noncreature permanent.
Ritual of the Machine did some surprisingly decent work in protecting me by placing threats on my side of the field and then using them to win (Atarka with Phyresis lmao).
Any other suggestions for what could be some likely candidates for replacement?

If you go with more sacrificing Sengir Autocrat and Rite of Belzenlok create lots of tokens that can be sacrificed, but are too mana-intensive for their effect. Maybe Doomed Dissenter , Lazotep Reaver or Orzhov Enforcer ? Bitterblossom is too far out of budget range, but for a consistent stream of sacrificable creatures Dreadhorde Invasion but be worth it.

Wildwood Beast Hunter
Creature - Elf Berserker
, : Search your library for a beast creature card, reveal it, shuffle your library and put it on top of your library. Wildwood Beast Hunter does 2 damage to you.
3 / 2
Create a common card that would be a hot pull in a draft environment (as far as commons go), but probably nobody would build with in a constructed environment. Examples of these in recent sets would be like Murder or Pegasus Courser or Lazotep Reaver or Law-Rune Enforcer .
No data for this card yet.
