Judge Unworthy

Instant

Choose target attacking or blocking creature. Scry 3, then reveal the top card of your library. Judge Unworthy deals damage equal to that card's converted mana cost to that creature. (To scry 3, look at the top three cards of your library, then put any number of them on the bottom of your library and the rest on top in any order.)

So I did some math on Judge Unworthy in here, to see if it is worthy (if it wasn't only during the combat phase, I would probably include it simply for the scry 3 with conditional upside).

~39.1% chance to do 5+ damage within the scry 3
~63.9% chance to do 3+ damage within the scry 3

Then, ignoring what's in the scry and revealing whatever was after yields us:

~15% chance to do 5+ damage ~28.3% chance to do 3+ damage ~50% to do no damage

so that is not generally suggested. I think it could be considered for a slot, but it would basically be up against Pollen Lullaby or Dismember, which I think are both better respectively, due to either the flexible casting cost, or ability to stop swarms instead of just one creature.

I did swap out Nurturing Peatland for another Turntimber Symbiosis  Flip to help with Pollen Lullaby since I barely needed the card draw aspect and mainly used it for a green mana source. Most of the time, when I did use it for card draw, I was looking for a threat, which Turntimber Symbiosis  Flip has tacked onto the back when bounced with any bounceland, so that was a good upgrade.

With Turntimber Symbiosis  Flip being a thing to artificially inflate CMC, Judge Unworthy may finally be worth it. I’ll have to revisit clash cards etc as well, because Pollen Lullaby was great even before I had 7 CMC lands.

Finally finished updating the deck’s description with all my recent swaps. I think the deck is a lot more consistent now as well (finding I mulligan less). I may do a few more land swaps, since there’s a few I find myself not needing.

So, after doing some research, I think you should take a hard look at Judge Unworthy and maybe Magma Jet and ditch the Paths and bolts alltogether.

Judge Unworthy has Scry 3, which is huge for your deck since you want to be digging agressively to find your pieces, and you'll have a good shot at killing an attacker. Magma Jet is the same thing with less variance but also only Scry 2.

Remember each card should somehow support the general game plan. Casting Paths and bolts does get rid of an attacker, but you're not getting actively closer to your combo. Path even ramps your opponent which is really bad. If you're scrying it means you're actively finding your combo pieces.

I kinda like ghostly prison tho because it's a permanent and will slow down your opponent over multiple turns - and you could even fetch it.

Chandra, Torch of Defiance would also count as protection, but at the same time gives you card advantage and ramp

If there were specific cards you were trying to dig to (lock pieces, a combo, selection for removal/counters/whatever) I could get behind more draw - but all that Potion really reads as is "Discard this card and draw another one for 3 mana: gain 3 life" in this deck. Without a way to bounce it, or a way to use the lifegain, it's not actually doing anything to get you real value or advance your plan.

Shelter , Judge Unworthy (very on-flavor), or old faithful Bonder's Ornament could fit the same role a little better, potentially. Either that, or find a good way to put the extra life to use in your game plan, IMO.

Here are some suggestions, in no particular order:

The cantrips shouldn't necessarily go into the deck but I think they're good value for being so cheap to cast. I'll post some more when I think of them

@Nef Hey, Thank you for your nice suggestions :) So how many time you would add Venser, the Sojourner? Champion of Wits synergizes with Unburial Rites and has a nice late game option, but i will playtest without those cards and add 2xMulldrifter and Venser, the Sojourner and looks how ti performs, probably better. For Cloudshift i have Momentary Blink in the sideboard and i probably should add it to the mainbaord and remove Judge Unworthy because sometimes this card is just annoying but sometimes gold...

I threw this together to get a rough feel for how the deck would look when budgety. Sodium Hypochlorite (White as Fuck!) Budgetier.Only really interesting thing that might be useful is Judge Unworthy for that ability to find topdeck stuff.

The only cards that I could find, that came even a little close to the same ballpark, were pretty crappy.. Stand Firm and Judge Unworthy.. So sad. I might add a playset of Stand Firm just for the 1mana scry2 though.
