Tarzunga Your deck is sick. I ordered mine today and may take some inspiration from yours depending on how my first few games go. Kosei, Penitent Warlord has done a lot of work in the Chishiro, the Shattered Blade pre-con that I have, so you're right that he could be a better fit but the artwork is just too cool on Isao, Enlightened Bushi to not have him as the commander.

I love your articles. Personally i like Jolrael, Mwonvuli Recluse or Isao, Enlightened Bushi as green commanders. One loves card draw the other is a green samurai

In my humble opinion if control is a problem, there are better options to deal with counterspells than Vexing Shusher - as in the end its a "dead card" in the sense that it does nothing beside preventing counters.

Cards like Mistcutter Hydra, Skylasher, Isao, Enlightened Bushi, Prowling Serpopard & Thrun, the Last Troll all have built useful bodies, and built in hexproof without any additional mana investment.

darmpark the best thing i can give you about samurai for edh is either make it boros color commander or Naya color commander I dont really play commander so idk which one would be the best but i would build it around Isao, Enlightened Bushi he is the only green samurai but is best for the tribe. i really recommend Naya colors tho because green will help you ramp because samurai are high costing cards if your willing i would like to collaborate with you on making one if your willing! ive been looking to make an EDH deck but idk where to start and i think this would help me

Think about adding Kentaro, the Smiling Cat so you can play Isao, Enlightened Bushi or Fumiko the Lowblood, Bushi Tenderfoot / Kenzo the Hardhearted might combo well with Isao, Enlightened Bushi to flip it.
