Azoth2099 on Tergrid Sac Discard Draw help please

Asyriel

Ok, so here's a few top picks (imho) for Tergrid, God of Fright  Flip.

Oppression, Liliana, Waker of the Dead, Rankle, Master of Pranks, Living Death, Delirium Skeins, Innocent Blood, Cunning Lethemancer, Bottomless Pit, Necrogen Mists, Words of Waste, Smokestack, Sword of Feast and Famine & Chains of Mephistopheles (just proxy it lol)

There's also a lot of cheaper options that are just as synergistic like Plaguecrafter, Demon's Disciple, Raven's Crime, Hymn to Tourach, Mind Twist, Mind Shatter, Mind Slash & Sadistic Hypnotist.

Outside of the synergy pieces, I'd recommend replacing some of those low-power pieces like Bad Deal & Inevitable End with value pieces like Dark Ritual & Vampiric Tutor for greater consistency.

Heya, I see that your deck is mostly lacking in card draw/ card acceleration. You have about 3 while most decks need 10+. Remove Costly Plunder for Night's Whisper so you don't have to sacrifice your demons. Remove Feaster of Fools, Spirit of the Night, Bladebrand, Grasp of Darkness, and You Are Already Dead (I know the meme), and add Dream Devourer, Bloodgift Demon, Herald of Slaanesh, Phyrexian Arena, Blasphemous Act, and Rakdos Charm.

I hope this helps your deck building. Other upgrades would mean removing Ecologist's Terrarium, Lightning Bolt, Grasp of Darkness, Warp Artifact, Insult / Injury, Price of Betrayal, Skulltap, Witch's Vengeance, Blight, and Inevitable End which are okay, but could be improved. Pick more cards that draw cards without condition or ramp on two mana, Wish you the best!

Hi,

This looks pretty cool. Even without Tergrid, your deck will make it hard for opponents to establish a board-presence with creatures. I would really throw in a Torment of Hailfire; it fits so well with the overall theme. Then there's your opportunity for additional draw; the deck contains maybe five options for that; most being non-recurring. Ideally, EDH decks should carry around maybe 10 on average. Some ideas: Geth's Grimoire, Tinybones, Trinket Thief, Phyrexian Arena and Underworld Connections.

I see you've included a lot of mana-artifacts, so also including Desolation might make sense from that point of view, but ... I dunno. It seems like you've sacrificed all your artifact utility slots for artifact mana slots in order to use this card. And there are so many interesting artifact utilities you now don't have space for, like the aformentioned Grimoire but also other stuff that would really fit the theme like Smokestack, Bolas's Citadel, Anvil of Bogardan, etc.

Lastly, I would really recommend replacing Enslave, Inevitable End and Strands of Undeath with enchantments that allow you to benefit from and/or punishing others for discarding/sacrificing; black has so many nice options to choose from for this like Megrim, Liliana's Caress, Raiders' Wake, Waste Not and Bloodchief Ascension.

Have fun with the deck.

Polaris on Vampirism on an opponent's creature

It doesn't matter what the enchantment is attached to; you cast it, so you are the controller. "You" always refers to the controller of the effect, not the controller of the enchanted creature. Since you cast Vampirism, it will give the opponent's creature +1/+1 for each creature you control, and give each of your creatures -1/-1.

Also compare Cage of Hands, which uses this rule to let you pick it back up and recast it to lock down a different creature, Inevitable End, which gets around this by giving the ability to the creature (making your opponent the controller of the effect that's making them sacrifice things), and Captive Audience, which shows how an enchantment would have the caster not be the controller.

Boza on Can Together Forever combo with …

Note that the second ability of Together Forever requires the creature to have counters on it. If Roalesk does have counters on it, there is nothing preventing you from using Together Forever's ability during your upkeep - in fact, you have to actiivate it during your upkeep in response to the trigger of Inevitable End. However, the ability puts the creature back in your hand and you have to recast it, which can normally only be done during the main phase.

Eldrazi13 on Can Together Forever combo with …

I was hoping to do a combo using Inevitable End on Roalesk, Apex Hybrid in order to trigger its Proliferate, Proliferate ability. What I was wondering is if I could use Together Forever in order to return Roalesk to the battlefield afterwards, or can I only use it during the Main Phase?

robot-dinosaur? alright ill try

Trampler of Towns

Artifact Creature - Dinosaur Giant

Improvise

Whenever you mutate this creature, destroy target artifact or creature with converted mana cost X.

Mutate

7/7

That good enough? My challenge: A strange boardwipe, similar to Inevitable End. Make it flavorful (also inevitable end is my favourite killspell)

I know these don't quite fit the theme exactly, but Cruel Reality and Torment of Scarabs might give you a way to make your opponents sacrifice their creatures. They could replace Seal of Primordium and Mystic Repeal and are budget friendly at under a dollar each. Other cards that fit in the budget well is Inevitable End and Screams from Within to combat small token decks.
