Guildpact Informant

Creature — Faerie Rogue

Flying

Whenever Guildpact Informant deals combat damage to a player or planeswalker, proliferate. (Choose any number of permanents and/or players, then give each another counter of each kind already there.)

Totally seeing that, there's actually probably even some easier ways with some of the cards I'm seeing that have reusable proliferate, just losing that first turn is a thing that will probably get you focused to death.

My workspace is over here Theorycrafting counter deck But, Karn's Bastion would probably work for yours, or your Flux Channeler. Guildpact Informant, Inexorable Tide, Thrummingbird, or Viral Drake are also good candidates.

That said you filled out a lot of my blue cards.

I think I'm shifting to Atraxa, Praetors' Voice which is an expensive card, but I splurge when it comes to lynchpins for a deck.

I don't think Mahadi, Emporium Master quite makes it. The fact that it can only trigger on your own turn makes it a bit too limited for my liking. I would probably go for Pawn of Ulamog in that slot as it both gives mana and an additional body to sacrifice for more value if you prefer. If you're looking for something in this slot and not running Pitiless Plunderer you may want to consider that.

Mari, the Killing Quill is currently still in the testing phase for me. I've only been able to get her out a couple times so far (I probably should just tutor for her in games) but she can trigger on her own as she is an assassin, and the fact that she gives herself deathtouch comes in handy as well. Additionally, the exile triggers on a creature dying for any reason, independent of having any rogues etc, which is very handy given how common graveyard decks are.

Alongside her I have Dauthi Voidwalker and Oona's Blackguard for tribally relevant cards, but I would like to get maybe one or two more playable cards in that vein to be totally happy. Among current options Zulaport Cutthroat, Ghostly Pilferer, Morbid Opportunist, Grim Hireling, Murderous Redcap, Guildpact Informant, and Glasspool Mimic  Flip strike me as being possibilities, but I'm not sure where I want to go on it at the moment.

I prefer Talisman of Creativity over situational ramp cards like Mahadi since it's valuable even on an empty board. If anything I'd cut something like Mari or something that similarly creates situational value in a different area, like Thief of Sanity if I felt I'd prefer to trade card advantage for more ramp.

I don't think Walking Ballista is a good card for this deck mainly because you can't go infinite. Also, I would take out Archangel of Thune and replace it with Renata, Called to the Hunt mainly because Renata is cheaper cmc wise and you don't have many creatures with lifegain besides atraxa. My other suggestion is to add in Evolution Sage and take out Guildpact Informant because with 40 land you are bound to consistently be able to proliferate.

I like the idea for your deck, I don't think I've ever seen anyone else do something like it. Just wanted to mention that in commander the only cards you can have duplicates of is basic land. There's still a bunch you can add on a budget to get your spread of colors though, like Battlefield Forge, Command Tower, Prairie Stream, etc...

Also Kiora's Dambreaker seems like a lot of mana if you're just wanting the proliferate trigger on it. If you had a way to abuse it by making it enter over and over again it would be sweet but I might check out Grateful Apparition or Guildpact Informant

Thoughts on Ignite the Beacon for grabbing more teferi's and Guildpact Informant for extra proliferation?

Hi! I'm also currently building a deck like this and may have a couple of suggestions for you! First, Thrummingbird seems like a strict upgrade from Guildpact Informant, so i would suggest swapping those out. Young Wolf and Cloudfin Raptor are both very strong early game plays that allow further proliferate tactis more easiliy due to their resilience. Also, I'm not sure myself yet if this card is as strong as it looks, but i find Cave of Temptation a great card to play around with that can give you a little push in the late game without sacrificing too much in the way of mana fixing/ speed. Last advice i would give you is, unless you have a special reason for them, the tron lands seem clunky and don't function particularlly well when run in singles.

Hope this helped a little? And check out my brew for some more inspiration if you'd like!
