KayneMarco those are good suggestions. I would probably replace Graf Mole with one of those suggestions. Graf Mole really doesn't contribute.

Ok, so with Ikoria, we've got Magic's second ever mole creature with Excavation Mole. The first one, Graf Mole, is pretty narrow in what it does. As my wildcard, I'll try to creature a third mole that makes these guys compatible.

Tracker's Familiar BG

Creature - Mole

Whenever a land is put into your graveyard from anywhere, investigate.

How narrow? THAT narrow. But this seems like a fine common or uncommon.

More moles for a potential mole deck, please. In case you have a better idea on how to make the existing moles synergyze, I'd love to see them.

The following creature types only have one member each. Create a card that uses at least two of the following:

(Nameless One, the only card without any creature types, could arguably be included in the above list, but, by definition, it could not be used to complete the above challenge.)

If you're going to do an investigate deck, then I would focus in on that and drop a lot of the stuff that doesn't help achieve that. Lone Rider  Flip, Ulvenwald Captive  Flip, Ulvenwald Hydra, Sigarda, Heron's Grace, Heron's Grace Champion, and even Duskwatch Recruiter are cards that could be dropped. If you do you can go up to the full amount of Tireless Tracker (when you get them), Graf Moles, Bygone Bishop, Confront the Unknown, Ulvenwald Mysteries, and another Journal and Patrol. To make the deck more consistent and sleek you should drop a lot of the 1 ofs as well like Traverse, Trail of Evidence, and Fleeting Memories.

Modern also has some pretty cheap mana fixing to help your deck like Glacial Fortress, Sunpetal Grove, Lumbering Falls, Stirring Wildwood, and Seaside Citadel.

Since a lot of your cards are 3 drops like Tracker, Mole, Bishop, you should add a playset of mana dorks to help accelerate. Birds of Paradise is going to get you the most bang for your buck but if that's still too expensive then you could do something as simple as Elvish Mystic.

Lastly you're gonna want some number of removal spells. Path to Exile is the best removal spell in these colors but if that is too expensive then you might have to settle for something like Journey to Nowhere.

Hope this helps!

Have you considered Anointed Procession- it would double your clues and your soldiers from Ulvenwald Mysteries every time a new one came into play. You could also run a couple Mechanized Production as well. That can probably steal you a win here and there... the amount of clues you could generate would be pretty insane.

Also, with all those clues, how about Tamiyo's Journal. It's a free clue every turn (or two with the Illuminator out, or 4 with him and the procession) and you can then search your deck by sacking 3 of them... which pumps your Tracker or gives you 3 soldiers (or 6 soldiers) and gives you any card you need... all that costs no mana.

I think you could probably swap out the Jace's Scrutiny, Bound by Moonsilver, and the Graf Mole. The mole gives extra life- which is nice] but not necessary, the scrutiny saves you from 4 damage, but just for a single turn, and the moonsilver is a temporary fix.

You could go +3 processions, +2 Journals, and +1 Production. I know it bumps your curve up a little, but I also think it increases the power level of your deck.

If you're not looking to make those changes, you could add a Call for Unity. With as much clue sacking as your doing (or lands or whatever to the angelic purge), you will be able to trigger revolt every turn. And then you board state gets really out of control. Soldier tokens get to be real threats and your flyers can end the game quickly.

Just a few ideas. I hope they help.

Maybe you just shouldn't go for the Mechanized Production win? If you do, you just need to make it a control deck with improvise, which I do not think is where you wan this to go. You could have Bygone Bishop or Graf Mole.

Make a friend for Graf Mole, i.e. another Mole creature.

Although your current goal isn't to cheat a big baddie onto the field, you could save yourself some time when you're sacrificing 3+ clues by including Briarbridge Patrol. Throwing one or two of those in there can help you further your board state when you go for broke with a combo. Perhaps replace your Graf Moles therewith?
