Goblin Kaboomist

Creature — Goblin Warrior

At the beginning of your upkeep, put a colorless artifact token named Land Mine onto the battlefield with "{R}, Sacrifice this artifact: This artifact deals 2 damage to target attacking creature without flying." Then flip a coin. If you lose the flip, Goblin Kaboomist deals 2 damage to itself.

I just began work on a similar build, only difference is that in mine there is 4x Goblin Rabblemaster , 2x Squee, the Immortal , and 4x Goblin Kaboomist , because his land mine tokens he creates for defense can double as the sacrifice for shrapnel blast. I think it's the perfect deck for Goblin Kaboomist . All the explosion art with the goblins is kind of hilarious I think.

Look I think you need to commit to the coin flipping or to being competitive, I don't think you can do both here. With that in mind...

And if you really just want PURE chaos... Like possibly not winning you the game type chaos, Grip of Chaos

Hi! I love Valduk! Never got around to making a list but I have a tooooon of good ideas for him

Or mainly just one: Bludgeon Brawl

Fascinating card. Makes all of your mana rocks extra equipment. And SO much more.

What makes it so good? Artifact tokens. Treasure tokens. Clue tokens. Curse of Opulence, Magnifying Glass, Brass's Bounty, Goblin Kaboomist, and a bunch more. You can equip these for free to ken more creature tokens. OR use them for ramp/card draw, making the deck versatile.

Bludgeon Brawl + Mycosynth Lattice makes all of your lands free quips too. Crazy fun.

How to win with all your creatures? Burn at the Stake. Dragon Throne of Tarkir. Slate of Ancestry.

Look here for more ideas: Suns_Champion's Well of Ideas. Find the Valduk section in the deck.

Hope some of this helps!

ah. an artifact land destruction goblin deck. interesting. and with early game relying on discarding to get ahead. here are a few cards from another goblin artifact player.

Rummaging Goblin a good early card for draw and discarding.

Tamiyo's Journal doubles as both an artifact generator, a card ramper, and a tutor.

Goblin Kaboomist an artifact ramper which can also hinder ground attackers. just make sure to give him a shield or buff him so he don't blow himself to hell.

Krark-Clan Stoker an easy way to get more mana by sacking artifacts or artifact tokens.

Survey the Wreckage a land destruction with a free goblin token.

Seer's Lantern another mana rock with scrying. to get what you want easier.

Elaborate Firecannon a shooting artifact that encourages discarding.

Darksteel Ingot can't have an artifact deck without one of these.

Trading Post a multipurpose artifact with many uses.

Junk Diver kill/sack it to bring back an important artifact.

Ornithopter/Memnite cheap discard/sack fodder.

If you like Goblin Kaboomist, Arms Dealer and Frenzied Goblin then you should play with them! The most important thing is that you enjoy playing your deck! Ultimately magic is about building the deck one likes and having fun with friends. A hilarious card I played earlier was Sensation Gorger, it can be great when you actually get to draw those extra cards, and can be good against control. Ultimately I found it too slow for local meta, but it's really funny! If you want to invest some money then Blood Moon can be great for goblins, especially with Goblin King.

Some SB tips: A fun card I'm trying out in my SB right now is Everlasting Torment. It's not the best card there is, but it's thematically fitting. I SB it in against midrange decks with big creatures, since it means that even a blocked goblin can be a good trade for you. It completely shuts down any decks that build on life gain as well. Regarding GY-hate in SB I personally prefer Tormod's Crypt for goblins, since it doesn't cost any mana to cast you won't loose any of your momentum.

Thanks for this! Impact Tremors is great. I did find Goblin Kaboomist works really well with chieftain, also Arms Dealer and Frenzied Goblin have proven their worth many times. You have given me lot to work with many thanks!!

Fun deck! I too have a Goblin deck, so I know how fun they are to play! I have some tips regarding your cards if you're interested. You seem to have 62 cards in the deck, it's never a good idea to have more than 60 card - consistency is king! In general you want a curve that is as low as possible, since you need to keep a pressure all the time. If you don't win turn 4 or 5, you will probably loose the game.

The lands look good, what you need is red mana and you've got it. A tapped land can be dangerous since you need to keep a pressure! I'm trying to run Contested War Zone in my goblin deck, it's risky since it only produce colorless mana, but it's +1/0 ability can be game winning.

Card you can consider adding, price tag in (parenthesis):

Goblin Guide - (Expensive), but really good!

Foundry Street Denizen - Can get really big really quick, (cheap).

Legion Loyalist - Devastating against token heavy decks, first strike can be really good if your goblins are buffed. (Kind of expensive).

Goblin Piledriver - Get really big, game winner with Legion Loyalist's trample, (average price), well worth the cost!

Goblin Rabblemaster - Creates you a massive goblin army, constant pressure, one of these can totally dominate the battlefield, two of them wins you the game. Recently reprinted, so it's (cheap) for what it does. Great if Quest for the Goblin Lord.

Lightning Bolt - 4x.

Goblin Bushwhacker - One of the best one/two drops for goblins, (cheap).

Warren Instigator - Haven't tried myself but he can be really powerful. (Average).

Mogg War Marshal - I like it more than cards like Krenko's Command, since it gives you a bit more resistance against sweepers. It's also a great gobling to sacrifice for Goblin Grenade.

Goblin Wardriver

Additional card to consider, mainly for sideboard:

Smash to Smithereens or Vandalblast

Goblin King

Cards I'd cut:

Obelisk of Urd - In my experience, Obelisk of Urd is rarely a good card aggro or modern in general. Too expensive, or forces you to not attack a turn if you want it early.

Boggart Shenanigans - Too expensive for what it does. If you want a similar effect I'd recommend Impact Tremors.

Arms Dealer - Too slow, isn't a threat in it's own.

Goblin Kaboomist - Too unreliable.

Bloodmark Mentor - Maybe worth it, but Legion Loyalist is strictly better.

Frenzied Goblin - There are better 1-drops.

Mogg Fanatic & Goblin Arsonist - Cut if you find better one drops to replace the with.

Fury Charm - Not really a good card.

Hope you appreciate the tips and make sure to ask if you have any questions!

Holy cow, Illicit Auction is badass.

Just to check, Norin is the Commander just for the lulz, right? As far as I can tell he doesn't combo well with any of the other cards.

I think that my main feedback is that it appears that the "fun" of this deck comes from three different things:

I would recommend moving away from the first group in favor of the latter two. Having creatures change ownership is more interesting if there are a lot of them. Perhaps consider going into RG or RGU? Green would allow more "everyone gets creature effects" and U would allow more coin flip/chaos effects.

Just an idea. This would be a good opportunity to use Prophet of Kruphix, though note she's officially banned for Commander.
