Gloom

Enchantment

White spells cost more to cast.

Activated abilities of white enchantments cost more to activate.

I second that suggestion of adding Cabal Stronghold. Have you thought about Dust Bowl? It's amazing late game in a deck full of basic lands.

If you are trying to keep the mana base as basic as possible have you thought about adding a nice tax like Tsabo's Web?

Deathgrip, Dystopia and/or Gloom might be good value alongside that Painter's Servant.

Imp's Mischief nice Izzet spell for mono black.

Even though this is a tutor tribal list Planar Portal seems bad in the color that tutors best.

Chromatic Lantern does nothing for this deck. A cheaper mana rock would be an upgrade or even a Pristine Talisman. Mirage Mirror would be a nice swiss army knife.

CommanderNeyo - I did have the Servant in originally! I decided to go full creatureless to boost the effectiveness of the removal. Also, I had cut spells-matter cards like Havoc, Gloom, Spellbane Centaur, and Nature's Wrath, which undermine the true power of the servant. It's definitely worth putting in if you have cards that care more about things being cast than things already in play. Thanks for stopping by!

Really sweet deck man! I've always had a hard on for infect (in a good way) and it's always nice to see people playing it. I do want to ask though: how much hate does this deck draw, and does it ever affect your game negatively? I've had the experience in the past that once people find out I'm playing infect, they immediately target me, and it becomes 3 v 1, and that's when I was playing The Mimeoplasm infect, so I actually had some time to setup. Don't get me wrong, it's a sweet deck and looks like it can hold it's own just fine, I'm just curious how your experience has been with the hate.

Also, it seems like Gloom is kind of a wonky fit. There's a lot of cards on your maybe board that seem like better choices. It just seems a bit narrow. Just some food for thought. Also, have you seen Yawgmoth, Thran Physician ? It would be a house in this deck!

Alrighty, done rambling. Sweet deck, +1.

Activated abilities of enchantments can still be activated. Can it be prevented?

Our permanents can still be exiled. Can it be prevented?

Can be made so that their costs require mana with Gloom.

Can destroy the opponent's artifacts and enchantments every turn (ours are indestructible) with Serenity.

May block players from casting/playing creatures/artifacts/enchantments/lands altogether by having Ward of Bones and putting some dummy creature tokens (with Phelddagrif, Dark Salvation or Varchild's War-Riders) on the opponent's battlefield, then making them enchantments (Enchanted Evening) + artifacts (Mycosynth Lattice) + land (??? may interfere with blood moon. Still doable by sacrificing all lands but one and giving that one to the opponent with Donate).

First thing I noticed is Deathgrip which is awesome. You could probably go more in this direction with some tutors to match your opponents colors. You might like Phyrexian Crusader, Gloom and/or Dystopia.

Top recommendations: Burnished Hart, sad robot-Solemn Simulacrum, and Liliana's Contract due to the number of demons your are running.

Undiscovered Paradise/Ghost Town - are ways to ensure land drops each turn

Other Ways to search for lands: Liliana's Shade, Armillary Sphere, Journeyer's Kite/Thaumatic Compass  Flip, Pilgrim's Eye, Surveyor's Scope, Thawing Glaciers, Field of Ruin

Keeping the demon subtheme I would suggest: Ammit Eternal, Baleful Ammit, Archfiend of Despair, Demon of Catastrophes, Demon of Dark Schemes, Demon of Wailing Agonies, Harvester of Souls, Nefarox, Overlord of Grixis, Reiver Demon

Demonlord Belzenlok/Kothophed, Soul Hoarder/Razaketh, the Foulblooded (these three + griselbrand hold liliana's contract very flavorful)

I would remove: Buried Alive (don't see strong graveyard recursion), Temporal Extortion/Dash Hopes (bc if its that important to your opponents they will pay the life), Grinning Demon/Minion of Leshrac (no upside), Gloom/Infernal Reckoning(unless this is a meta choice but its too situational), Sanguine Bond (do you gain that much life to be relevant?), Death's Approach (for hard removal) and Without Weakness

Grand Arbiter Augustin IV is a solid generic hater, and Chalice of the Void works well too. Will you run stuff like Nevermore or Pithing Needle? There are also a lot of cards that give upkeep costs to things like Kataki, War's Wage or Breath of Dreams.

If you add black, you get access to stuff like Nether Void, Gloom and Blood Funnel. In fact, Mishra, Artificer Prodigy makes a great combo with these cards (your Sol Ring gets countered, then you search your graveyard for a card named Sol Ring and put it into play).

Gloom is certainly one of the meanest cards in black, next to Dystopia. The only problem with colour hate is that you either need to be sure that at least one opponent will always play that colour, or that colour poses a very big threat to your overall strategy. In my green aggro deck and in my gitrog monster I play Choke because I have a bad time against too many counterspells and all that gain control of something crap. I wouldn't need anything against red or white there because it's not that bad for me to justify a slot for colour hate.
