Eyes of the Wisent Discussion

Okay. Sorry I'm late, so I'll make it a good one.
Maybe too slow: Assemble the Legion, Awakening Zone, Dragonlair Spider, Elspeth, Knight-Errant, Freyalise, Llanowar's Fury, From Beyond, Growing Ranks, Imperious Perfect, Jade Mage, Kazandu Tuskcaller, Krenko, Mob Boss, Rakka Mar, Vitu-Ghazi Guildmage.
Awesome: Artifact Mutation, Aura Mutation, Baloth Cage Trap, Brimaz, King of Oreskos, Hanweir Garrison, Hero of Bladehold, Martial Coup, Nomads' Assembly, Oketra the True, Sacred Mesa, Sram's Expertise, Sundering Growth, Tempt with Vengeance, Tilonalli's Summoner, Trostani, Selesnya's Voice.
So yeah. Quite a list eh? Had to comb through 660 cards. So like... there's a lot.

I like using Eyes of the Wisent to get free beaters from blue decks.

Eyes of the Wisent is a fun anti blue tool.

odd mechanics in green:
Bellowing Tanglewurm, Beacon Behemoth, Avoid Fate, Cream of the Crop, City of Solitude, Brooding Saurian, Heartwood Storyteller, Gurzigost, Genju of the Cedars, Gaea's Liege, Freyalise's Winds, Fertile Imagination, Eyes of the Wisent, Engulfing Slagwurm, Elven Warhounds, Elephant Grass, Hermit of the Natterknolls Flip, Hidden Gibbons (and the other hidden creatures / enchantments), Dosan the Falling Leaf, Holistic Wisdom, Hornet Sting, Hunted Troll, Ichneumon Druid, Kashi-Tribe Reaver (and the rest of kashi-tri, if only for the lockdown mechanic), Lifeforce, Lignify, Lost in the Woods, Mammoth Harness, Meandering Towershell, Midsummer Revel, Mindbender Spores, Mortal Wound, Multani, Maro-Sorcerer, Nacatl War-Pride, Nature's Wrath, Night Soil (okay, this one is odd - because the colon is after the removal of creatures, it happens faster than players can respond or trigger to - it happens at the "cost" step of activating the ability), Noxious Revival, Panglacial Wurm, Permeating Mass, Planeswalker's Favor, Protean Hydra, Quirion Druid, Recycle, Revelation, Riftsweeper, Rite of Passage, Root Maze, Rootrunner, Rust, Scarwood Bandits, Sprouting Phytohydra, Sporogenesis, Spike Tiller, Sheltering Ancient, Selvala's Charge, Sekki, Seasons' Guide, Wave of Vitriol, Wonderlust, Vernal Equinox, Unyaro Bees, Typhoon, Tropical Storm, Tornado, Tempting Wurm, Tempting Licid, Symbiotic Deployment, Superior Numbers, Stunted Growth, Wild Mammoth, Wolfcaller's Howl, Worldspine Wurm, Xantid Swarm, and Yavimaya Dryad

Hey AlfrescoHotshot. Also been playing around with using Arcades Sabboth as a bant commander. Similar build, but have some inclusions you may find useful like Ephara, God of the Polis, Kruphix's Insight, Stoic Angel, and Eyes of the Wisent:

I am interested in hearing some of your stories about casual/serious games that you lost for silly reasons/misplays (like being unable to answer a continuously triggering Shorecrasher Mimic or losing track of how many loyalty counters were on Kiora, the Crashing Wave) or just blindsided by a random card/strategy that just broke your deck in half. Some examples would be like your playing a sweet mill deck and then a Wheel of Sun and Moon hits the board or your playing mono blue control but but you just HAD to play that Augury Owl and a T2 Eyes of the Wisent resolved.
All of the above has happened to me... and these losses just kinda stuck with me... just interested in hearing about other players tales of defeat.
