This is a subjective discussion. What you count as a card being iconic is up to you. Is your definition of iconic restrictive so that only cards like the mox/power-9 count and post-Pioneer cards don't or do you have a laxer interpretation such as for any card memorable enough to be referenced like Elvish Visionary and its copycat Elvish Doomsayer.
Additional question, do you feel like present day MTG is more or less iconic than it was in the past? Do you feel like MTG might be trying too hard or not hard enough to come off as iconic in the present day? (i.e. "I think MTG is trying too hard to be iconic by rushing stories that needed more time to be refined/improved upon rather than to meet a deadline" or "I think MTG is not trying hard enough to be iconic as it's relying more heavily on other IP's to make sales than on its own branding.)

Okay so I'm new to deckbuilding, especially for EDH so I'm just wondering if anyone has any useful/practical suggestions for this deck. I thought Abomination of Llanowar was a cool card, so I wanted to build around that concept of getting a lot of elves onto the field and my graveyard to really boost its power and toughness.
One thing I'll mention is that, with the exception of cards that are already present in the deck, I don't want to spend more then $3-5 on a single card. So keeping all of this in mind, any suggestions?

To elaborate on my Marchesa + Reyhan, I picture stuff like Verdurous Gearhulk allowing me to abuse any 3 etb/death triggers and itself on EVERY turn instead of once per round. Stuff like Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Kokusho, the Evening Star for life drain, Burglar Rat and Elvish Doomsayer for discard, Grim Haruspex for draw, and god knows what else I could come up with in sans white. That'd be a fun deck to brew...

Elvish Doomsayer, Noxious Toad (oracle text is each opponent), Burglar Rat, Elderfang Disciple, and Liliana's Specter are all 2-3 drops that put in their work already or do when they die.

Unless you're really intent on getting one of each of Liliana and Ob Nixilis on the battlefield just to cast The Elderspell to ult one of them you're better off concentrating on the extort ability.
In order to make it more like an extort deck, you'll need more creatures. Pontiff of Blight will give all your creatures extort. Crypt Ghast will allow for some ramp. Though if Crypt Ghast is too expensive, money wise the next option to consider is Dark Ritual.
Since you have Ayara as a sacrifice engine, creatures that cause your opponent to discard when they die include, but are not limited to, Ashen-Skin Zubera and Elvish Doomsayer. Or you can cast cards such as Liliana's Specter which force discard upon entering the battlefield and sacrifice them, feeding into Blood Artist. All of this should give you some control aspects for the deck.
In which case I'd remove all copies of The Elderspell and the Planeswalkers. The 5/5 demon from Nixilis' 2nd ability and Liliana's reusable discard in her 1st ability are good but Ghastlord of Fuge is unblockable, his ability exiles instead of discard and any creatures attacking you will die anyway once they deal damage due to No Mercy, feeding into Blood Artist. Maybe cut just one copy of GoF for another small creature.
Since the affect on No Mercy is not cumulative, you should be okay to remove one.

Marchesa, the Black Rose

Spark Double feels like it's a custom card made specifically for Marchesa. It allows you to abuse any etb/death trigger on everyone's turn instead of once per round thanks to that automatic +1+1 counter or it copies Marchesa for double Dethrone.
Vigean Graftmage = 2 free sacs every turn (itself + 1 other). This card is deceptively amazing here. Have Vigean enter first then as the 2nd enters, graft a counter onto it.
Goblin Bombardment is a sac outlet that only 2 colors can reliably deal with and it enables an infinite damage combo with Mikaeus and Glen Elendra.
Burglar Rat, Elderfang Disciple, Elvish Doomsayer, Liliana's Specter, and Noxious Toad (oracle text is each opponent) are all excellent additions to your discard theme.

On my quest to also build a tinybones deck, I found some of the cards below that have really been an asset to me. Maybe they could help you out too.
Instant Speed Discard Cards: _(Allows you to force them to discard on their turn, so you can get a draw trigger then too.)
- Necrogen Spellbomb , Funeral Charm , Black Cat / Mindslicer / Elvish Doomsayer like cards, that discourage people from attacking you while also possibly making them discard on their turn, Nezumi Shortfang Flip (also has a special second flipside ability), Torment of Scarabs (they have to really screw themselves over every turn unless they discard), Cry of Contrition (can be sort of like a bounty, taxing someone when the creature dies which can be on someone else's turn), Unmask , Greel, Mind Raker , Gibbering Descent
