Elven Warhounds

Creature — Dog

Whenever Elven Warhounds becomes blocked by a creature, put that creature on top of its owner's library.

Each blocking creature creates its own triggered ability from Elven Warhounds. Those triggers all get put on the stack at the same time, and so as you’re Elven Warhounds controller, you get to choose what order to place & resolve those triggers.

So in short, you decide.

When Elven Warhounds is blocked by multiple creatures, is there any ruling that says who decides the order those creatures are put on the library? Do I decide, my opponent, or is it a random shuffle of those cards before going on the library? Thanks in advance!

ClockworkSwordfish on Grandfather Clock - Premodern Poison

Old-school poison is always a real charmer... it took a lot more work to get it to function back then, ha ha.

If you're interested in making a mess with the old Thicket Basilisk and Lure combo, you might prefer Sylvan Basilisk in his place. The Sylvan wipes creatures as soon as it's blocked, not at the end of combat, ensuring he's never killed by blockers. For what it's worth, he can also bring down walls! Another good alternative is Elven Warhounds, who are one mana less and don't kill the blockers... but possibly do something even work! They stuff your opponent's creatures on top of his deck, forcing him to just draw the same cards again. This can buy you tons of time to finish a foe off, as he either has to keep replaying his creatures (accomplishing nothing) or just sit for a few turns until he draws through them all and then hopefully gets a noncreature way to deal with things. It's pretty delightful!

Just cut the cute s**t Elven Warhounds for another great addition to the deck Saryth, the Viper's Fang

I do enjoy seeing people use banding. It is a powerful ability that people do not use because they do not take the time to try to understand it. Banding is great with other abilities. Taunting Elf banded with Camel and Elven Warhounds clears the board for you. Obviously Warhounds is a good little slow for vintage but you get the point. If you haven't, I suggest understanding banding. The deck looks amazing.

Ainok Bond-Kin, Ainok Guide, Elven Warhounds, or Mossdog. Muzzle for flavor? Wild Dogs for card draw or pitching for Patrol Hound.

maybe Hum of the Radix as you run 0 artifacts? Never had the privilege of playing the card but it might fit in a build like this.

you are running a lot of cool, old, niche cards. maybe Plow Under and Stunted Growth for some additional funky tempo/control that feels more blue than green.

Elven Warhounds a funky creature suggestion similar to the sorceries I just mentioned.
