No prob! I've never actually seen Distant Memories before, I might have to pick up a couple! Seems like it would be really fun and political. And that makes sense about being hesitant to cut the cards that trigger your commander. I'd think about cutting Galvanoth, I always try to play him but 5 mana for a creature that the odds are wont get a good trigger your next upkeep isnt worth it imo. ALso Izzet Chronarch, or Archaeomancer if you want to keep the izzet colours. Chemister's Trick, Charisma, Grip of Amnesia (for a better counterspell such as Counterflux), Cerebral Vortex, Nivix Guildmage, Arcane Melee, Thoughtflare. Also not sure how you take advantage of Aetherflux Reservoir? Maybe a cut.
Some cards that you might want to consider swapping your izzet creatures for are: Double Negative, Essence Backlash, Expansion / Explosion, Ionize, Magefire Wings, Suffocating Blast. Have fun brewing! I've definitely been doing alot of it over the last couple weeks haha

I know you're looking for non-wheel card draw. I don't love cantrips in EDH unless there is a number-of-spells-matters effect in play but they can smooth out a deck a bit. Ponder , Preordain , Portent , Sleight of Hand , Serum Visions , etc. The sweet spot in around 3-5 CMC for me, ideally drawing CMC -1 but there aren't a ton of spells that efficient. I don't love Divination in EDH (2 for 3) but it's the gold-standard in 60-card decks for a quickie hand refill. There are tons of efficient cards like Divination too.
There are a ton of "draw 3, discard 1" for 4 or 5 mana, which are okay. Sift , Trial of Knowledge , and Amass the Components , for example. Many are costed for being commons, which isn't where you wanna be in EDH. There should be plenty of good, efficient cards to draw from though. At the same time, you have a lot of great high-CMC draw, like Consecrated Sphinx and Thought Reflection, so having a few Divination effects might smooth out your draws.

Don't get put down by the fact that everything has to be historic. Here are some useful draw engines and cards that go well with them:

Hey there!
I think with this commander some more haste-giving stuff and more tutors will help you since Etrata wants to sling combat damage and go back into the deck.
For haste I would add in one or two more things like Chariot of Victory.
For tutors, I would suggest a Tunnel Vision to use on yourself. Long-Term Plans, Parallel Thoughts, and Distant Memories. Also cards like Flash of Insight or Prosperity seem useful for trying to dig through your deck.

My deck tries to make others co-responsible for the outcome of my cards. Instead of Guided Passage, Intuition and Distant Memories I could have just put in stuff like Demonic Tutor and Vampiric Tutor, but would take away the politics.
Not only the tutors follow these principles, but the same goes for mass removal Magister of Worth, Coercive Portal, Austere Command, land destruction Bend or Break, spot removal Council's Judgment, Diaochan, Artful Beauty, and reanimation Dawnbreak Reclaimer.
Another part of the deck is about making friends so I have some influence on their choices. I can do so by giving away tokens, life, counters, cards etc.
Overall the rest of the deck is mana fixing, drawing and pillow forting.
I'm still make a lot of changes after each game. Running 5 colours gives you so many options.

I like your take on Karona, although it's it's really different from mine. You really went for the wall tribal theme. I can imagine that it's fun to play. You're not really a threat early in the game and quite annoying to deal with later on. If you haven't done so already, check this Karona Defender Build on Youtube

Cuts:

1.Curse of Vitality almost no reason to ever play this card
2.Martial Law doesn't scale well enough in EDH
3.Rhystic Circle isn't going to protect you enough from big swings
4.Rhystic Deluge same story. You have enough of these effects and they're are unconditional ways to do this.
5.Azorius Charm isn't good enough. Play Path, AEtherize, or AEtherspouts

Man, flavorful Phyrexian cards are expensive. I'll need to let him know this is gonna be a long term project.
Also, ERoss8 I didn't even know about Distant Memories, but I'm about to put it in all of my blue EDH decks. It has Urza-themed lore and and awesome effect.
