Dark-Dweller Oracle Discussion

I don't think Dark-Dweller Oracle is supposed to be in the list

G’morning. Glad to here my “sliver” deck was a spark of inspiration for ya. I do like your idea for using your queen in non-sliver fashion. I think the best way to pull it off is in the direction you started: aristocrats. A whole sliver load of ideas started popping off in my head like popcorn upon reading your comment on my profile page. Let’s get started. Biomancer's Familiar and/or Training Grounds would be 2 musts to help pull this off without needing an infinite mana combo. Not saying to not have one or more of those combos in the deck but in case you aren’t drawing into combo pieces those 2 would make using her ability a lot easier. If nothing it would help make infinite critters in the altar process as well. And for aristocrat side it doesn’t necessarily have to be all blood artist effects either. You could also go with sac a creature to draw a card effect and go with a Laboratory Maniac win. Could also go with Dark-Dweller Oracle and play your whole deck in one turn with the infinite mana and creatures side of things. Will comment further as I think of more ideas. Until then, happy building.

The following cards are out: Contagion Clasp - Proliferate is nice, but it doesn't perform at all when it hits the field. Return to Nature - played dozens of games. Keeps sitting in my hand with nothing to do. Fairgrounds Trumpeter - its ok, but I only ever got it to play once. Gruul Spellbreaker - Sure, it's hexproof and has riot, but it's just a early mid game blocker is all. Hunter's Prowess - never played it. Escape to the Wilds - on paper it's powerful, in practice it makes me lose the game. Return of the Wildspeaker - Just doesn't do much. Nissa, Voice of Zendikar - looked great, but really is not that great. Longshot Squad - Might be situation-ally good, but I never played it really. Rishkar, Peema Renegade - It's just really not doing anything for me so it's getting put onto the maybe list.

Cards ADDED to the list Birthing Pod Mycoloth Talisman of Impulse Goblin Matron Champion of Lambholt Krenko's Command Goblin Sharpshooter Thermopod Mwonvuli Beast Tracker - THE ONLY human in this deck...lol. Dark-Dweller Oracle

Is the first time i see an edh deck with the commandant being the Generous Fluefaced Goblin. There are some siggestions

  • Goblin Matron : To tutor some pieces of your engines.

  • Thermopod : is an option as a sacrifice outlet, that also can generate some mana.

  • Mwonvuli Beast Tracker : Another solid tutor to search combo pieces.

  • Dark-Dweller Oracle : Another sac outlet that you can use to get card-advantage.

  • Mycoloth : Thanks to the counters that it can have, plus the counters of Grumgully and the other friends, you will have a swarm in your table with this!

  • Goblin Sharpshooter : I think that in this deck can be a good finisher, or at least your opponents will fear you :)

  • Birthing Pod : This is a good card, but if you have a creture with persist and Grumgully this becomes really absurd.

I hope that this helped you.

Hello Kilolord, found your Deck here and would make suggestions - if you like it, take it as Inspiration.

  • I dont like Manarocks there Cmc is higher than 3+. Its slows you and makes just colorless Mana.
  • You use many Abilitys/Cards for pumping up your Goblins, maybe to many - i prefer to make more and more Goblins, faster and faster to overrun my Opponents in my Build. Maybe its possible for you to use more Haste-Enabler/Stuff to untap your Commander and cut Pump-Options. But its just my suggestion :).
  • I see many Cards in this Deck there are funny but more useless for reaching a Win. ( Dark-Dweller Oracle , Goblin Assassin , Helm of the Host and Pyromancer's Goggles
  • Maybe you want play Cards like: Goblin War Strike , Massive Raid , Mob Justice ?

If you want take a look on my Build: [Commander/CEDH] KRENKO, Boss Mob

I do like the deck and i have never seen one made around Norin before. I would like to make some cut recommendations and i apologise in advance because apparently I sound like an arse when I do.

I found that in my Purhoros deck Sarpadian Empires, Vol. VII was too costly. (I would recommend purphoros he is cheep)

Altar of the Brood will help people much more than hinder

Obsidian Battle-Axe , Stormrider Rig , Sai of the Shinobi , Hero's Blade and Ronin Warclub I know they auto equip but what effect do they really do. I think this is probably the biggest weakness

Instead of Worn Powerstone I would recommend Palladium Myr

Some recommendations: Runaway Steam-Kin Descent of Dragons Pashalik Mons Mirror March Skullclamp Dark-Dweller Oracle Feldon of the Third Path Goblin Bombardment

I personally like: Red Elemental Blast Pyroblast Burnout

In my Animar I've cut evolutionary leap for Dark-Dweller Oracle as a tutorable piece and does not require specific mana for activation.
