Daring Demolition Discussion

Murphy77 on Mono-Black Zombie Party

Nightmare is an interesting addition to a zombie deck. I would want a minimum of 2 each of Relentless Dead and Cryptbreaker in a deck like this, and would prefer Never over Lethal Sting and Daring Demolition. I suppose that my biggest concern would be the mana-curve - just too many high cmc cost cards and nothing to play or protect you in the first 4-5 turns.

I've never been super impressed with Defense of the Heart.

Given the more sac-theme of your deck, you might have better results with Pattern of Rebirth?

I feel like there are more solid removal options than what you're including - Hero's Downfall is just better than Daring Demolition, for example.

Would Regal Force be a good option here, given the number of tokens you can produce?

Control/disruption:Disallow is amazing, and can foil just about any plan.

Wrangle: is super cheap, and incredibly fun.

Select for Inspection is good for tempo and sifting.

Harsh Scrutiny is great for early plan-twarting and sifting.

Daring Demolition: is a good killspell with no limitations.

Tidy Conclusion is another good all-purpose killer with nifty lifegain.

Shrewd Negotiation is evil beyond belief!

General good stuff:

Morbid Curiosity can prove invaluable. With those pricy improvise freatures and an abundance of artifacts, you ought to get some value out of this.

Efficient Construction: can give you an immense boardpressence.

Tezzeret the Schemer seems like an auto include ;)

Contraband Kingpin ought to do some yood.

Hope this is of any help. Do ask away if you want my oppinion on more specific matters. Stay frosty :D

This is my Tezzeret deck that was made on a budget:Creature spells (13):

4 x Dhund Operative

4 x Contraband Kingpin

2 x Bastion Inventor

3 x Wind-Kin Raiders

Artifacts (13):

2 x Inventor's Goggles

2 x Sky Skiff

3 x Prophetic Prism

4 x Servo Schematic

2 x Treasure Keeper

Enchantment Auras (3):

3 x Tezzeret's Touch

Sorceries (5)

2 x Tezzeret's Betrayal

2 x Reverse Engineer

1 x Yahenni's Expertise

1x Daring Demolition

Planeswalkers (1):

Tezzeret, Master of Metal

Lands (24):

4 x Submerged Boneyard

8 x Swamp

12 x Island

It's pretty lack luster and could do with some more powerful monsters but it seems okay for a budget deck

I would play Stasis Snare or Fatal Push over Daring Demolition just because it's at sorcery speed and 4 mana creature removal is not very good. Thopter Arrest is an excellent removal card and you might should think about playing 2 or 3 copies of it. I would use a playset of Forsaken Sanctuary, your friend definitely has them if he bought the deck builder's toolkit, and they will be very helpful for mana fixing.

Just some things to look at

Servo Schematic seems useful

Aether Hub gets you energy, can fix mana

Metallic Rebuke counter spells are needed

Bastion Inventor very good for budget builds

Grasp of Darkness prolly better than Daring Demolition

Syndicate Trafficker also good with things to sac

Glint-Sleeve Siphoner draw some cards

Perhaps Vampire Hexmage in the sideboard instead of Daring Demolition to stop Nahiri/Saheeli/Planeswalker/Counter insanity?
