Confessor Discussion

It's very difficult to make a decent deck around $100 dollars in EDH unless you're using specific budget lists. Regardless, I'll try to keep these suggestions budget.

With that out of the way, I like a good amount of the cards in this deck. A huge suggestion is to put Archfiend of Ifnir in here. It can wipe enemy's fields very fast if played at the right time. Another is Confessor to double your sustain. Don't underestimate the value wheels can provide Varina. If you want more card advantage Mentor of the Meek is amazing for it.

Anything in particular you're looking to improve about the deck? Take a look at my deck or respond if you want more Ideas.

Heya Foxy!

Based on what I've seen, I'd recommend cutting:

Dusk : This kills 48% of the creatures in your own deck.

Battlegrace Angel : with all your tokens and other angels, you'll rarely have anyone attacking alone.

Confessor : in a lot of cases, this guy won't do much.

Dawn Gryff

Geist of the Lonely Vigil

Ghost Warden/Angelic Page/Anointer of Champions : ditch 2, keep 1. they all do pretty much the same thing. Honestly, I'd axe all 3. There's cooler things you can put in their place.

Graceblade Artisan : not enough auras to make this dude worth it

Guardian of Pilgrims

Herald of Dromoka : there's only two warriors in the deck, so he doesnt have much combo potential

Moorland Drifter

Spectral Rider

Sublime Archangel

Territorial Roc

Weathered Wayfarer

Things I'd suggest adding:

Icatian Crier

Champion of the Parish

Elite Inquisitor

Benalish Marshal

Glorious Anthem

Commander's Authority

Seraph Sanctuary

Thraben Doomsayer

Mask of Avacyn

Ajani's Mantra

Sunbond

Always Watching

Intangible Virtue

Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite

Unruly Mob

Crusader of Odric

Serra Avatar

Spear of Heliod

Ajani Goldmane

If you want more suggestions, lemme know and I can provide them. IF you need to trim down more creatures, try looking for things that are outside the theme of your deck. For example, it seems your focus is many small white creatures, life gain, big flyers/angels, and +1/+1 counters, so it would make sense to start trimming down by removing things that don't fit with that theme.

Good luck and happy decking! -Toothy

Decks looks fine, but... Isn't it would be stronger if there was more cards that generates more life gain triggers?
For example, Marble Chalice, Ephara's Radiance, Silent Attendant and many other cards make only 1 life gain trigger in a circle (from your turn to your next turn).
But cards like Royal Herbalist, Leonin Elder or Confessor would generate much more. There is also better to rid off augmenting cards like Ethereal Armor. Because it easier to gain life 3-4 times, then to attack with a creature and deal damage (still only to one opponent).

Well, in my opinion, there is better way to change whole tactics. More lifelink augments + creatures with more then one trigger in a circle would be more effectively.
Fencing Ace or Cuombajj Witches + Squire's Devotion can heal you twice each turn. There is also a way to add two triggers in a circle to make tokens Queen's Commission and protect them with evasion or enchantments like Lumithread Field or Parapet

You could also use Soul Warden, Soul's Attendant, and Suture Priest to survive the early game; if you get two of them out you no longer need to draw the Confessor.

Delirium Skeins or Bog Witch might help. Both require you to already have the Confessor though...

Might be better off just including some repeatable lifegain like Basilica Guards, Child of Night, Hopeful Eidolon, the dreaded Tithe Drinker, or even Wall of Hope. When you have the combo, they're card draw engines. When you don't, they help you survive to get the combo together. Seems pretty win/win.
