Battlefield Scavenger Discussion

My madness deck that I have updated for this set has been functioning fairly well. I have 4 Fiery Temper 4 Alms of the Vein I also use two Hazoret's Monument for when I play either Pale Rider of Trostad or bloodrage brawler to give some extra discard. Key to the City is good for helping Hazoret swing in and getting madness. Cryptbreaker doesn't seem too helpful in here just because of the zombie count is so low, similar with Battlefield Scavenger because he is your only exert card.
My deck is linked here if you wanna see it

I playtested with Battlefield Scavenger, but didn't like what it offered, compared with the other 2 drops.
At the end of the day you can't put EVERYTHING in your deck.

@Ragham - Thank you for taking the time to enlighten me. In this new light Champion of Rhonas does not look really that valueable and might even be a disadvantage, because Samut, Voice of Dissent and Glorybringer would be in play without attacking, but open for sorcery-speed removal. At this point I will remove the last two copies of him from the deck. Heroic Intervention and Blossoming Defense are on my watchlist and I will think about them for this deck.
@Vectro98 - Battlefield Scavenger might be worth a thought, but I kinda want the idea still going on, that all my 2cmc creatures have the potential to not just be 2/2. His filtering might be worth it though. I will look into addtional sources of carddraw. The idea to cut Lone Rider Flip and Odric, Lunarch Marshal is understandable and I will look into it. What I do not agree with is the removal of Prepare / Fight. The untap at instant speed as well as the lifelink are relevant to keep blockers open, exert useable and have enough sustain to reach into the mid- to lategame, that is the main focus of the deck. That there is a 'removal' - spell tagged on is just and added advantage. Shock is definitly a consideration, as is Harnessed Lightning. Harsh Mentor might be a good idea, especially against most established decks.

InfuriatedBrute In no way are deserts better than mountains this deck. They have utility potential, yes, however this deck does not look for that type of utility. I'm looking for unblockable beaters who will kill the opponent turn 5, not a land I can use in a fringe scenario. I'm not running all 4 of's, because it leaves my deck vulnerable to one card or strategy that would disturb it. Instead I am running with several different cards to vary up my options. Ahn-Crop Crasher provides me with a way in to deal damage turn 3 if they have put out a blocker. battlefield scavenger provides me with a creature that buffs my Flameblade Adept's as they swing, as well as provides me with pseudo-cycling. I'm not taking from competitive decklists because I am a brewer, not a net-decker. And I'm mono-red because the play testing I have done with this deck has shown me that it's not necessary to run a support color. I have brewed similar decks to this, one was Gruul, and I found that (,) made the strategy less competitive. Other builds were Boros and Naya, those proved to be less than satisfactory as well.
