Auras are a legal target for spells and abilities, unless otherwise specified by an effect (like hexproof on the aura itself).

In this case, you'll gain control of Aspect of Mongoose, and it'll stay where it is. Now when the game looks at Mongoose, it'll see that it's enchanted to a creature, and nothing will happen. It'll stay attached, and you will still be unable to target the elf.

This next section is just extra information about other cases

1) Some auras, like Aspect of Lamprey, say "enchant creature you control". When Becket gains control of it, the game will see that you control an aura that wants to be attached to a creature you control. When it looks at the creature it'll see that you don't control it, and so that aura will fall off and go to the graveyard (because it's illegally attached).

2) If an enchantment says "enchanted creature has hexproof". When you gain control of that aura, the game will still give the enchanted creature hexproof. Hexproof says "Can't be target of spells or abilities opponents control". Since you are an opponent of the controller of the creature, you will still be unable to target the creature.

3) There are a few cases where an aura has something similar to hexproof, but not quite. The one off the top of my head is Shielding Plax. This gives essentially hexproof, but it's based off the enchantment's controller, not the controller of the creature. Since you are the controller, you can now target the enchanted creature.

This was a lot, but I hope it was helpful

So I'll acknowledge that I'm not a very experienced Standard player -- I almost exclusively play EDH. With that being said, Aspect of Lamprey seems like your weakest card here, and I'd cut it for more removal or interaction. I also feel like The Ozolith is GOOD for your deck, but not good enough to run three copies given that it's legendary.

Have you considered splashing red, to run Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger? He seems like a powerful threat that you're well-situated to run.

(I might be biased, I run a Kroxa deck in EDH and adore him.)

Hi there!

Not to bring you down here mate, but the deck seems a little inconsistent as is.

As I see it, there are several problems:

  • Lurrus of the Dream-Den has no targets aside from Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger, which makes it less than optimal. If Kroxa isn't in the yard, it's basically just a 3/2 lifelinker for 3. Kroxa is a fine option to have, but isn't a great target either, as it just goes straight back to the yard.

  • Same goes for Call of the Death-Dweller. Your only real target is Lurrus, as getting Kroxa would make for a very underpowered Mind Rot.

  • You only have Tymaret Calls the Dead to fuel your graveyard. Kroxa decks usually want as much fuel as possible to Escape a lot. That's why most lists also run Mire Triton and Magmatic Channeler. Not saying it can't be done without them, but when you add recursion in the form of Lurrus and Call, you really want there to always be good targets.

  • Aspect of Lamprey is a fringe limited playable. It gets worse by the fact that your curve is pretty high, meaning that sometimes it doesn't have a creature to attach to. If you feel like you need an effect like this, I'd suggest Inscription of Ruin. Not an amazing card either, but the flexibility makes it so it's rarely a dead card. Also remember that having an abundance of discard will empty your opponent's hand, at which point any following discard spells basically will be dead draws.

  • Same for Bad Deal - it's a bad deal, but more for you than your opponent.

  • Adding Fabled Passage would make the mana base smoother and add more fuel for Kroxa.

If you want this to be a hardcore graveyard/recursion deck, I think you'd be better off adding more fuel as well as cheaper creatures. If this is less focused on being competitive and more just for the fun of it, just disregard all the above.

But I hope that helps. Good luck!

You might consider using Resolute Rider instead of the Aspect of Lamprey or the Captivating Unicorn as they can have lifelink and are hard to get rid of from the indestructible.
