Artillerize

Instant

As an additional cost to cast Artillerize, sacrifice an artifact or creature. Artillerize deals 5 damage to target creature or player.

Unfortunately, Artillerize is just trash. Collateral Damage is basically a bolt but still much better than a 4 mana 5 damage. Fiery Conclusion is also decent but can't target players. If you want more acceleration, I suggest Infernal Plunge, since it's basically a red Dark Ritual.

Hope this helps!

Collateral Damage and Artillerize are good burn spells for tokens. Goblin Arsonist and Mudbutton Torchrunner are good targets for sacrifice spells as well.

I forgot Flame Rift and Book Burning . I use Blur of Blades a lot and find it very useful. if you like STRONG BURN then go with Guttersnipe and Embermaw Hellion and any spell like Magma Jet , if you want small burn then go with Shock . for faster plays Bloodlust Inciter . Collateral Damage or Artillerize or Thud just Heat Shimmer . ( Mass Mutiny for fun.) good spells such as Reckless Abandon and Reversal of Fortune are just fun to play.

Amun, this looks better, still... I'd suggest:

  1. -4 Workshop Assistant & +4 Myr Retriever
  2. -2 Fodder Launch & +2 Dismember
  3. -3 Artillerize & + 1x Pia's Revolution + 2x Salvage Titan
  4. -5 Swamp, -3 Dragonskull Summit + 4x Signal Pest +4 Mountain

As I said earlier your deck can be mono-red and with your reduced mana curve you don't need 22 land, I'd probably play 18, but if your uncomfortable then run 20. You want to have 4x of Pia's Revolution, it's the card your deck is built around.

This is a pretty strong list, but there are definitely a few additions that would really push its power level.

Perilous Myr is a far stronger inclusion over the Alpha Myr. Shock deathrattle is more powerful than an extra point of power.

Your list needs more straight burn. Highly recommend Artillerize as a finisher. And Galvanic Blast is absolutely a must.

Happy brewing!

Nice deck! I've always struggled playing against mono red. Never seen it in commander though.

I think you should consider adding Prowler's Helm. It will pretty well guarantee damage by whatever it is attached to. A basic control method that can put you way ahead is Ember Swallower. Since you're getting free land every turn you don't need to worry about losing 3 permanent lands, but your opponent will be at an immediate disadvantage.

Also, I would consider putting Price of Progress in the main deck instead of the sideboard.

Now for the requested sideboard help.

Probably your sideboard should either give more options in line with the main theme of the deck or give options to combat the main weaknesses that come up during play.

Some options for following the main theme: Lava Axe, Artillerize, and Earthquake.

Now I'm not entirely sure what your main weaknesses are, but with some gameplay you should be able to figure it out and sideboard cards that would be effective combatants against it.

Artillerize seems so expensive for not enough. You might want to replace them with something you can use early game. Shock is always a good staple.

Suggestions:

It seems like Avacyn's Judgment and Abandon Reason are meant to be cast for Madness? If so, Bloodrage Brawler is awfully inconsistent here, as there's no way to be sure you'll have a hand with both Bloodrage Brawler, Avacyn's Judgment in a game, and it's even less likely you'll have the mana to cast both of them in the same turn. I'd recommend either replacing the Bloodrage Brawlers with the suggestions below, scrapping Abandon Reason, or both.

Bloodrage Brawler is an incredibly aggressive card, I'll admit. However, there are some creatures that are quite a bit more synergistic with your deck. Nantuko Husk, Carrion Feeder, and Blood Bairn help your creatures die without Distended Mindbender. Perilous Myr and Goblin Arsonist are relatives of Mudbutton Torchrunner.

It seems like Distended Mindbender and Avacyn's Judgment are your sac outlets right now. Your opponent isn't going to block your Mudbutton Torchrunners if they're going to take 3 damage for it - they're just going to let the 1 go through. So, you need ways to power them yourself. Again, Nantuko Husk, Carrion Feeder, and Blood Bairn will all do that job for you, and Artillerize and Fling are cheap, sometimes even better, substitutes or alternatives.

For a budget deck, your mana base is to be expected, but it can be better. Rakdos Guildgate is a dual land, sure, but entering the battlefield tapped without anything else means it's outclassed by others. Akoum Refuge and Bloodfell Caves are gainlands in Rakdos colors. Rakdos Carnarium is a tapland that bounces one of your own lands, which can be bad or good, but helps you stay on curve the turn after, unlike the Guildgate. Temple of Malice is a scryland, which might not be so useful, but it's still better than the Guildgate by virtue of its scry. Dragonskull Summit is probably your best bet for a dual under $5/each, though, because it's not necessarily a tapland as long as you have a Swamp or Mountain.

Soul-Scar Mage and Abandon Reason are really weird cards in this deck. You have no burn spells (which might be something to consider) if you don't hit creatures with your Torchrunner or Showstopper, so I would consider either burn spells or better combat tricks. Red has much better combat tricks than Abandon Reason, like Brute Strength, a red Giant Growth.

Sorry for the wall of text; I hope it helped.
