If you really want to control people, change out your commander for Llawan, Cephalid Empress and play Whim of Volrath and Sleight of Mind and Alter Reality

Really shuts down those mono-color decks.

Good luck, i love tribal decks. The more unusually the better.

My opponent has a Black Market .

“Whenever a creature dies, put a charge counter on Black Market.”

Can I cast Alter Reality so it reads:

“Whenever a creature dies, put a charge counter on White Market.”

To stop it from getting counters?

Whim of Volrath, Alter Reality, Glamerdye or Swirl the Mists or the like for some of those enchantments - love the green / red hate being put to good use. Wrath of Marit Lage might also work well with them, and Llawan, Cephalid Empress as well.

If you do end up going that route, Lifetap is a must. and Back to Basics is a good follow up if you swap out to rocks and basics...

Since you are running Telepathy, Planeswalker's Mischief might be up your alley. It's slow, and it's random, but it can massively f*ck up an opponent's plan, and it draws hate away from other permanents you might wish to keep.

Vodalian Mystic and Painter's Servant (not sure painter's servant is still banned, need to check that out after this post) will help with the activation costs of your general, as will Training Grounds

Scrying Sheets. If you are running all snow islands, run this to smooth out your draws. that, and Extraplanar Lens will allow you to net extra without giving any to your opponents. I see you're already running it, so props there.

If you are running all the rocks for ramp, you might consider Paradox Engine or another untap effect like Unwinding Clock

odd one, more land dependent than color, but Floodgate can be hysterically effective to wipe fields with, as can Scourge of Fleets.

lastly, some early game protection might help - I suggest Sea Sprite and Coast Watcher for obvious reasons.

I love the deck seems pretty brutal if you are playing vs green decks...which is all the time for most of us! So I got a few ideas for you.. Now I know this is a big change but it seems like you could swap out the mill strategy and zombie tribal cards for a color control strategy to compliment your primary game plan of green hate, along with a new commander to go with it. Lazav, Dimir Mastermind seems like a better commander for this idea since you are likely killing creatures a lot. I was thinking color changing cards like Whim of Volrath, Glamerdye, Crystal Spray, Alter Reality, Spectral Shift, Trait Doctoring, Mind Bend, Sleight of Mind, Vodalian Mystic and especially Blind Seer will give you much more control. You can also stop ramping with Shadow of Doubt, Mindlock Orb, Pendrell Mists, Energy Flux.

You are correct, I concede to you.

It's a confusing interaction, because Overload is a text-changing effect, which is NOT a copyable characteristic. For example, if I cast Pyroblast, then cast Alter Reality to replace the word "blue" with the word "green," then Reverberate the pyroblast, the copy will still say blue, not green.

However, Overload is ALSO an alternative cost, which IS a copyable characteristic, and is therefore seen by the Hive Mind.

I should have read to the end of the discussion I was using. My bad.

Well the big pay off I'm going for is being able to Hibernation/All Is Dust/Ugin, the Spirit Dragon/Wash Out selected permanents. I tried using stuff like Douse/Chill/Hydroblast etc. but they are useless without either the color hack cards (Alter Reality, Whim of Volrath, etc.) or Blind Seer, who eats removal. So the strategy I've adopted is to basically counter control things that will end the game/affect my board until I have enough resources to win/dominate the game outright, using Blind Seer as the engine.
