Aether Herder

Creature — Elf Artificer Druid

When Aether Herder enters the battlefield, you get (two energy counters).

Wherever Aether Herder attacks, you may pay . If you do, create a 1/1 colorless Servo artifact creature token.

Love the idea of getting loads of energy from your ETB's and Yarok but I'm not seeing enough good places to actually spend that energy. Now I know they are commons but you might want to consider adding in Aether Herder , Aether Poisoner and Aether Swooper . While they may not be power houses on their own they creation of servors does mean you could very quickly get an army of servo artifacts going which would also daisy chain in with some of the other cards you have, like Decoction Module and Gonti's Aether Heart . Oh man and then it would also trigger with Fabrication Module so all those 1/1 can get pumped up as well. I hope that helps to give you an alternative tactic.

I like energy decks! I would recommend cutting Beneath the Sands and your artifacts, Aradara Express and Implement of Combustion, to make room to up the count on some other cards. Uping the count on other cards would increase consistency. Also Swell of Growth is no longer standard legal. Aether Herder and Sage of Shaila's Claim don't have much pay offs either. Abrade, Harnessed Lightning and Glimmer of Genius could do well with a higher count in the deck. Good luck with it!

Double strike will not give you extra energy with Lightning Runner or Aetherwind Basker attack ability. Double strike does not mean that the creature attacks twice, only that it deals first strike and normal strike damage.

I'd recommend taking out 3 or 4 Rishkar's Expertise because you don't have many creatures to let draw cards. Also take out Blood Mist since it's 4 cmc for an ability that doesn't help a lot.

4 Aetherwind Basker and 4 Lightning Runner is a bit too much for such high costing cards. By time you cast them you're probably close to dead. They want you to have multiple creatures out, of which you don't have many.

I'd suggest trying some of these: Longtusk Cub, Sage of Shaila's Claim, Voltaic Brawler, Aetherstream Leopard, Aether Herder, and Bristling Hydra. They are some lower costing creatures that can give you energy or hit hard.

For some removal/protection try Harnessed Lightning, Shock, Highspire Infusion, Nature's Way, Collective Defiance. Also probably want a Natural State in the side board.

Nissa, Nature's Artisan wouldn't be a bad card to put in either. Keep in mind you want more lower cost spells than higher so you can cast more things.

Hope that helps.

honestly, you should get rid of Foundry Assembler because you're only running nine artifacts. You could possibly get it out, but a 5 mana 3/3 isn't effective. Also, Aether Herder isn't a great card. You should rid them for a couple of Rishkar, Peema Renegade and an Unbridled Growth.
