As usual, we had a ton of awesome designs to assess! Unfortunately, we had to narrow them down. But before, everyone should get acquainted with out rules of voting:
Voting Rules
- Each player should vote for their favorite cards below. Vote for 1 U/W card, 1 red card, and 1 white card. You may vote for cards by users or design team members.
- Each player should provide feedback on the cards for which they voted, such as possible changes.
- Each player may provide feedback on any of the other cards that are presented as well. Just be clear on what cards your are voting for and which ones you are simply commenting on.
- Design team members will not be voting, so if you do not like their designs and you all vote for something else, we will not win (which is fine).
To help with your decisions, this link will give you some background about Sorok:

Alright, here we go. Take a look at these card designs and vote for your favorites.

Righteous Crusader by Glen654
Design Team comments and suggestions: We liked the overall design of this card, but had a couple issue. First off it did not get submitted with a power and toughness. We felt like a 2/3 or 2/4 would be good here. Also there are not really humans in this shard, so this should maybe have a different creature type like dwarf. |
|
Shineheart by nightscape
Design Team comments and suggestions: Design team reall appreciated how this card did a great job of being a benefit to creatures in Sorok because it does not get in the way of resolve. This card inspired some of our designs as well and likely will with the commons too. |
|
Priest of the Steel Visage by nightscape
Design Team comments and suggestions: We liked this card, but were not really sure if it fit in Sorok flavorwise. We felt that it fit a bit better in the Morglen shard (BWG). |

Missing in Action by IronHead
Design Team comments and suggestions: We all liked this card a good bit and thought it might even be ok at UW 2 CMC. |
|
Nekla's Agent by thorton
Design Team comments and suggestions: A solid template for a creature that we may want to make in other shards as well. |
|
AEther Tap by nightscape
Design Team comments and suggestions: So nightscape was on a roll this time around. Yeah this card felt like a UW Lightning Helix. Good stuff. |

Blade of Burden by squire1
Obviously it needs a name at some point.

Risky Theft by Spoofed | |
Design Team comments and suggestions: Flavor seemed spot on here. One design team member thought that the 'lose 2 life' part could be done without. |
|
Dwarven Explorer by IronHead
Design Team comments and suggestions: We liked this. Red is getting more and more ramp abilities so it seems fitting. |
|
Clasp of Embers by nightscape
Design Team comments and suggestions: And here he is again. With this card we felt that the CMC or maybe the equip cost needed an increase. If CMC, possibly increase to 4 |

For white I really like Shineheart as it is. I'll vote for the others later (trying to decide if I want to be THAT GUY and vote for my own submissions or not). Also are we ever going to do colorless rares/uncommons/commons? That might solve our issue with not having enough equipment in the set.

W: Righteous Crusader. I think it should be a 2:3 Dwarf and also have resolve. Without resolve, it can be 2/4.
W/U: Missing in Action. Now if only there was enough equipment that it would matter.
R: Dwarven Explorer. I think it would be more red if it was "When ~ ETB, untap two target Mountains." Also, Dwarves should have resolve.

For a white card - i think i liked padded armor. I don't think there are any effects or at least not wide spread ones. This is very clever.
For blue / white - i like Nekla's Agent. I agree with the design team that it would be cool to see a series of these.
Red is very hard... only one or two choices were easy to eliminate. Dwarven Explorer and Greedy Noggle are both very good cards. They have interesting abilities and have a lot of flavor, and fit well w/ the set. I don't like the mountain walk i think on the explorer, so i am going wiht the Greedy Noggle as my choice. So much possibility to have equipment shenanigans it could be so much fun!

W: Duran's Armor is pretty cool, I like the instant speed equip.
UW: If we can vote for our own cards Nekla's Agent! If not, Aether Gust.
R: Dwarven Explorer

If it's not too late to vote:
W: Shineheart
UW: Blade of Burden (though after looking at Fireshrieker, I think I would prefer -2/-0).
R: Feedback Generator

Looking at Clasp of Embers, yeah, it probably needs an increase in cost somewhere. Sure, it could end up shooting you as well, but still. I'm thinking an equip cost of 2R feels better.
