Fixing deck to have Battle Mastery in the deck because I think the double-strike will be super powerful on a creature with an Eidolon of Countless Battles..
Myogenesis, 9 years ago
Deck has been updated with KTK fetches and more blackcleave cliffs, allowing the red splash to get stronger. Larger removal suite (ie. lightning bolt) and stronger one-drop (stromkirk noble) put in. Only 3x and 2x-of, respectively, as flipping them off Vampire Nocturnus is a pretty big feel-bad.Sideboard update

Added Wheel of Sun and Moon to the sideboard if your opponent is playing heavy graveyard play or Mill. If the latter is true, enchant yourself.Dragonman39, 9 years ago
Point is, you lose life faster than me now!

Firstly I have removed Rest in Peace from the sideboard, seriously I don't know why it was there in the first place. I replaced it with Thalia, Guardian of Thraben. She can disrupt control decks very easily and now we don't have so much noncreature spells any more and therfore she barely interfers with our own plan. Secondly I have added Relic of Progenitus because it's good against graveyard based decks, to the maybeboard. It should be in the sideboard but I don't know what to remove. Thirdly I have got rid off Whip of Erebos and replaced it with Fulminator Mage. The mage can be very good against control matchups and Whip of Erebos is sometimes just to slow for this deck to effectively work. Lastly I have changed the mana base. It was to painful, I removed some shocks and added some check lands. Bloodstained Mire is also good because having all the three necesarry fetches can help you fetch basic lands instead of shock lands. Hopefully this will decrease the life loss but we still have the problematic Ball Lightning........Update #3- Maindeck (Manabase)
Drzombieface, 9 years ago
+1 Cave of Koilos
-1 Swamp
While these changes make the manabase more aggressive, the added consistency is well worth it. Having two extra sources of Green and White is a bigger advtange than have more lands that don't pain for Black.
Update #2- Sideboard Alterations

Changes made:
Setessan Tactics, in the most recent tests against higher Tier decks, just felt like it didn't really help the deck. It's best with Heir of the Wilds, but still isn't as good as it would be in a midrange deck, as the rest of my creatures are hard pressed to do anything with the fight ability.
The third Banishing Light felt a bit redundant, and as I am running 6 copies of hard spot removal in the main deck, 3 more in the sideboard just seemed unecessary.
Anafenza is mostly a response to the upcoming meta. Abzan Midrange/Reanimator is looking to be a pretty strong deck in the new format, and Anafenza is a way to help deal with it.
As well as the Abzan midrange decks, Enchantress decks are beginning to take advantage of the fresh new meta where people have forgotten about the massive amount of Enchantment removal people have access to. Back to Nature will often act as a one-sided board- wipe against these decks, so considering how many people will try to run them, it seems silly to not include at least 1 Back to Nature until the meta settles down to solidified and defined tiers.
Changing up the Sideboard

I have been testing the deck quite a bit and I have found that the decks it has the most trouble against are the aggro mirror and some Courser of Kruphix decks. I think this sideboard is a little bit better suited towards those matchups. Harness by Force is good against both aggro and midrange as it helps me race and put through damage, not to mention I can sacrifice the creature to Butcher of the Horde after combat. Whip of Erebos comes in against most everything because of the lifegain and the reusability of my creatures. Circle of Flame is just a bonkers sideboard card right now. Deflecting Palm is good against the big green decks and aggro. Dictate of Erebos seems really good against midrange but I will have to test it. Erase is just solid efficient enchantment removal. So any suggestions you guys have for this sideboard please feel free to comment with them, thanks!Tweaks

Did some play testing and ended up changing the 2 Ankle Shanker and 1 Chief of the Scale for 3 War-Name Aspirant. With the amounts of 1 drop in this deck the likeliness of it entering as a 3/2 is quite high and will only get further boosted by the other Chiefs/Sorin as it is a Warrior alsoUpdate!

Return to Dust ---> Vandalblast
The reason i replaced this card was:
1.) I didnt have it yet
2.) I have a foil Vandalblast
3.) Destroying everyone's artifacts is better when I Armageddon so they cant come back easily.

I've been doing some tests and realize that I had to do some changes. The fact that the CMC curve was high, was a problem for me and now I changed some cards to lower it down. I took out Cemetery Reaper and Carven Caryatid to add 1x Fyndhorn Elves and Elves of Deep Shadow. I think it's better, but any suggestions are welcomed. DonMicele and GlissasTraitor, could you please give me your insight?Increase Card Draw

Everyone knows the 3 infinite combos. mana-mill-life jeskai ascendancy+retraction helix+0 cost artifact = infinite the creatures is where it matters after that. life gainer! Oreskos Sun Guide "funny" mana getter! rattle claw flyer! ornithopter and the 1 non creature that matters (of the brood) you can double cycle with jeskai elder and ascendency out. meaning you have a blocker and a cycler if needed. i would like to say that altar of the brood will trigger on lands but not instance/sorceries. "but given the uses of the instances one could say you'll be laying something down anyways." i would also like to comment that altar of the brood will trigger twice with fetch lands... once for it and once for the second land. fetchlands = delve helper cyclers = delve helper and combo helper delve cards = combo helper!v3.0 – Not calling it Mardu, I liked Dega better

Post rotation, inclusion of M15 & Khans. Gained Goblin Rabblemaster, Crackling Doom, Butcher of the Horde, Mardu Charm, Utter End, End Hostilities, and Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker. To a lesser extent, Despise and Bloodsoaked Champion.
I still didn't put Brimaz, King of Oreskos, for the same reasons than before Khans.
