I can’t believe I made top 2 decklords. I’ve met so many people along the way who should be here instead of me. But I’m here. Please don’t let it intimidate you. I’m a human just like you are, I love MTG like you do, and I love making new friends too!

To reiterate an earlier point, I love being @.ed, so do it whenever you want! I love new decks and I love new conversations!

Oh, and if I comment on your deck talking about format, I do it with the best intentions. I just want to help you not get in trouble at a tournament, and to help make sure you don’t confuse a new player, who might leave the game because “it’s too confusing”

I want to take a moment to memorialize a former account. For 5 years, the user Deinostinkus graced us all with her presence. She was an amazing contributor to the site, and achieved both the number one helper position and number one decklord position on the site. In late October, 2020, after racking up nearly half a million points, she mysteriously deleted her account, and (to my knowledge) cut all contact with folks from the site. She was a good friend, and an MTG genius. Deino, if you’re reading this, I want you to know that we all miss you, and that we will never forget you.

I do not deserve to be the number two decklord. The top two positions have been held by Femme_Fatale (an amazing staff member), and Deinostinkus for as long as I can remember. They are the ones who deserve this podium, not me. But, while I’m here, the least I can do is to provide deference to those who came before, and to cherish their memories. Deino, thank you for everything you did to make me the deckbuilder I am today, and thank you for everything you did to make the site a welcoming place for anyone and everyone.

Also, thank you to Femme_Fatale! Congratulations on being #1 decklord, and thank you for fixing the site and putting up with my dumb bug reports!
