Welcome to the Vorthos cave.

There are two main things I love about magic. The strategy and the Lore. I also love the color pie but that's a different story.

The first part is because I learned to play from a very serious Spike. He made me very conscious of slow mana, below the curve creatures and janky, convoluted interactions. Play to win...we hit a few PTQs but mostly Game Days and FNMs. It was good times.

I play primarily casually now. As a result I mostly find myself building multiplayer decks that have some kind of combo built into them that generates oppressively incremental advantage. I love infinite combo decks but usually end up not putting them together for very long because they often win once or twice then I lose every time after that.

This is where the Vorthos comes in.

My story is one of a competitor left to their own devices. Strengths were found in persistence and a lack of mercy. Hence how I play this game;

The Dragon and the Lich;

at its finest. They both excel at making the opponent die on their terms. Prossh by feeding the body, and Nekusar by feeding the mind. Their Rakdosity is matched only by the facility of their intention. They make what they want to happen happen. Whether through redundancy or perseverance Rakdos causes pain to others whilst doing what not only suits their needs, but bumps their jollies at the same time...

I take a hedonistic pleasure in taking someone else’s vision, and interpreting the story implicit within. I just need the right muse...
