The idea for this deck came from Episode 219 of The Mana Pool, my long-running casual Magic podcast. We have a segment called Story Circle, where we randomly choose a card build around and then take turns adding to the deck a card at a time. For EDH, we randomly choose a general and go from there. I took some of the ideas from that deck and ran with them to create this.

Johan gives your creatures a sort of pseudo-vigilance if he doesn't attack, and I wanted to capitalize on that. Since I'll be safe from swingback, I wanted to get lots of bonuses from attacking. And since my guys will all be untapped, I wanted several ways to tap them for some nifty effect later.
