Ulamog's Crusher seemed to mark a turning point for common creatures. It was the biggest, baddest common up until that point, deposing the respectably large Oakgnarl Warrior for pauper reanimator strategies and the like. The thing is, we've been seeing more and more enormous common creatures printed since then. What's a man to do but ramp into those as fast as possible?

Original plan was to have Wirewood Channeler as the commander for pure elfball goodness, but I opted for Abzan Beastmaster instead as I figured it was easier to find ways to ramp up mana than it was to draw cards at common. Use either as desired. Garruk's Packleader is another solid option, but he's pricier and isn't guaranteed to go off turn after turn.
