This is my first attempt at a lockdown deck since I thought it would be interesting to get away from my typical aggro decks. This deck revolves around making your opponent think carefully about each and every card they are playing each turn while also limiting what they can play even if they can play multiple spells.

I built this deck around 2 main cards, Erayo, Soratami Ascendant and Ethersworn Canonist. Both of these cards are playable turn 2 and while Ethersworn Canonist also only allows me to play 1 nonartifact card it still harms my opponent much more than it harms myself. Erayo, Soratami Ascendant is also not hard to flip since most of my spells cost 2 mana or have no casting cost. If I am able to lock my opponent down this way then I then return any creatures they control back to the their hand with Cyclonic Rift or exile them with Path to Exile. The alternative to this win condition is to utilize Howling Mine, Kami of the Crescent Moon, and Ebony Owl Netsuke along with Rule of Law to make my opponent have lose a little bit of life each turn without being able to do much about it.

Any help or input about the deck is both welcomed and encouraged as this is my first time making a deck that does not run off of a commonly played deck, i.e. merfolk, Grisis control, affinity, etc, questions about why certain cards are in the deck are also welcomed as that too may help me judge what to keep and what to find a replacement for.
