Varolz, the Scar-Striped. Not that great, and definitely not a modern staple. That is, unless you throw a couple Death's Shadow into the mix! Here is my golgari combo deck! You can also use cards like Spark Elemental for more 1-mana counters. Vexing Devil kicks butt in this deck, with a RR 4-damage and 4 counters! Nova Chaser is also pretty ridiculous.
