Sigarda, Human's Grace - Hatebears Edition

In this build Sigarda, Heron's Grace protects an army of humans who in turn make play difficult with different stall tactics. Many anthem effects allow our smaller troops to grow, Captain Sisay can recruit from a veritable toolbox of legendary creatures, and Odric, Lunarch Marshal makes sure all our troops are as sharp as they can be in combat. Oh, and if you're inquiring about other editions they were 2 others. Investigate, and Purely Tokens. This however seemed the best of the three, the others unfortunately were discarded and are not available for viewing.

As some cards fall in like categories you may see the same card twice, the descriptions may differ. If you have anything further to add, feel free to let me know.

Creatures

Angel of Jubilation: Alot of different decks work off sacrificing creatures and paying life. This stops that from happening.

Champion of Lambholt: Increases in size and adds evasion.

Dosan the Falling Leaf: This means no responses to spells for anyone.

Frontline Medic: Not only does he make all the small creatures indestructible during combat, but he can counter an X cost spell. Enough of them out there.

Grand Abolisher: Unlike Dosan, this affects only you allowing for your opponents to duke it out with their counterspells and such.

Michiko Konda, Truth Seeker: While it does not prevent damage, that damage will come at great cost.

Odric, Master Tactician: It is not hard to achieve 3 other creatures to attack with, and you can choose 'no blockers' as an option.

Tajuru Preserver: Hexproof & Indestructible only go so far, this makes it so all things are accounted for.

Thalia, Heretic Cathar: Slows things down abit, especially for anything with haste.

Creatures

Angel of Jubilation: No black creatures for us, could be less beneficial if stolen by another player.

Archangel of Thune: If True conviction or Odric, Lunarch Marshal is in play this can get out of hand quick, for it triggers with each instance of lifegain.

Frontline Medic: Indestructible to all attacking creatures, helps the small survive.

Hero of Bladehold: Increases attack on attack.

Mayor of Avabruck  : It is doubtful he will flip in an EDH game, not a total loss if he does though.

Metallic Mimic: Adds to the size of our little human dudes.

Mikaeus, the Lunarch: Paired with Ajani he can keep up spreading counters for a long while.

Thalia's Lieutenant: While only a one time ETB effect, she continues to grow herself.

Thraben Doomsayer: Conditional, and if it reaches that point we probably aren't doing to well, but it provides a 'Last Ditch Effort' of sorts.

Artifact

Door of Destinies: Again, Humans is the optimal choice, unless of course you have a mess of soldier tokens maybe.

Enchantments

Cathars' Crusade: Counts when tokens enter as well as creatures.

Mirari's Wake: The anthem for this one is really secondary. The ramp is the nice bonus

Planeswalkers

Ajani, Mentor of Heroes: +1/+1 to up to 3 creatures... or load them all on one.

Elspeth, Sun's Champion: If we can achieve her ultimate we can have a bunch of mid sized flyers.

Creatures

Angel of Glory's Rise: Conditional as it only targets Zombies.

Beast Within: Polymorph anything...or Pachymorph... 3/3 elephant and all.

Devout Chaplain: With all the tokens available this isn't hard to achieve.

Ulvenwald Tracker: Especially useful when using an Indestructible creature to fight with.

Artifact

Gallows at Willow Hill: Again, with the number of tokens, not hard to pull off.

Spear of Heliod: Conditional in that the creature has to do damage first, and available mana of course.

Enchantments

Aura Shards: This + Tokens and other creatures will likely mean no enchantments/artifacts will stay for long.

Spells

Austere Command: A few different options in one card.

Fumigate: If one must lose their own creatures, you might as well get something from it.

Krosan Grip: Instant uncounterable A/E removal.

Return to Dust: A/E removal, more than one if on our own turn.

Selesnya Charm: No coming back from exile.

Swords to Plowshares: More Exile to deter things coming back. (may replace with Path to Exile)

Planeswalkers

Elspeth, Sun's Champion: Can be extremely useful if we keep our side at 3 or less power.

Note: Creatures with one ability are not mentioned if it is already accounted for.

Creatures

Odric, Lunarch Marshal: Is the lynch pin in this strategy. Allowing for abilities to be shared across all units.

Archangel of Thune: Flying and Lifelink, coupled with the second ability our creatures grow exponentially.

Avacyn, Angel of Hope: Flying, Vigilance, Indestructable. Nothing like a swarm of attacking creatures that won't die.

Fiendslayer Paladin: First Strike and Lifelink. Protection from B/R spells limits options for removal.

Silverblade Paladin: Doublestrike for more than one. Double the fun.

Artifact

Lightning Greaves: Haste and Shroud. While this is generally reserved for our commander, it gives haste to spread and Shroud to protect the equipped.

Enchantments

True Conviction: Doublestrike and Lifelink equals double the lifegain.

Creatures

Captain Sisay: Can tutor out any of our other legends for any of our needs.

Avacyn, Angel of Hope: Passes indestructible to everything else we control.

Dosan the Falling Leaf: Stops responses from everyone.

Michiko Konda, Truth Seeker: Helpful against aggro or heavy hitters. Gets rid of anything that hits us.

Mikaeus, the Lunarch: Spreads his counters around to everyone, so pump as much as possible into him.

Odric, Lunarch Marshal: Spreads any abilities to the rest of our army during combat.

Odric, Master Tactician: Allows us to control the battlefield, so 4/4's can kill 1/1's or just have no blockers at all.

Saffi Eriksdotter: She'll take a bullet for pretty much anyone. Great with Sun Giant.

Thalia, Heretic Cathar: Slows things down a bit, especially useful against decks running alot of haste abilities.

Yisan, the Wanderer Bard: Can fetch anything as long as he stays. options from cmc 1-8. Only downside is the 'Equal to' claus (not less than).

Artifact

Bow of Nylea: Mass Deathtouch, few other minor utilities, most useful is likely the lifegain.

Spear of Heliod: Anthem effect, + creature destruction for any that hit us.

Creatures

Knight of the White Orchid: Situational, but still helpful.

Yavimaya Elder: Not many want to attack into things that will benefit you, and if they don't you can pop him yourself.

Artifact

Darksteel Ingot: Any mana, resistant to wipes.

Selesnya Signet: Turns 1 colorless to 2 colored

Sol Ring: Great to start out with in the opening hand.

Enchantments

Cryptolith Rite: Turns every creature into a mana source.

Mirari's Wake: Anthem effect and Land doubler.

Spells

Cultivate: 2 for 1 is always good.

Creatures

Mentor of the Meek: Because who doesn't like keeping their hand full. Alot of our creatures fit the criteria.

Yavimaya Elder: Lands + Draw. So much value in one card.

Spells

Harmonize: The most bluest green card ever. Draw 3 for 4cmc no draw back.

Creatures

Angel of Glory's Rise: Considering a vast majority of the creatures here are human, this can help us recover from a board wipe.

Eternal Witness: Grab anything from the grave. Do it over again with Sun Titan.

Sun Titan: ETB and on combat retrieval. pairs well with Eternal Witness and removal cards.

Creatures

Captain Sisay: Fetches any of our legends, for anything we may need.

Thalia's Lancers: If you haven't got Sisay yet, this will help. Otherwise your pick of legends.

Yisan, the Wanderer Bard: Tutors out creatures of different costs up to 8. After that, try to find a way to knock him off to recur him.

Spells

Chord of Calling: With the amount of tokens available, we should be able to get pretty much anyone we need.

Enlightened Tutor: For all our A/E needs.

Planeswalkers

Ajani, Mentor of Heroes: Limited to the top 4, but still helpful if looking for something specific.

Hanweir Militia Captain  : Not hard to meet the criteria, transforms to make more creature tokens.

Hero of Bladehold: Attacks create tokens, effect buffs attackers.

Mayor of Avabruck  : Anthem is his main purpose, however if he does manage to flip you get some expendable wolf tokens.

Thraben Doomsayer: Helping our token collection along, one tap at a time.

Spells

Increasing Devotion: Nets a total of 15 tokens. great if you have the mana to do it in one turn.

Selesnya Charm: Creates a 2/2 Vigilant Knight if needed, though you can likely just remove the problem instead.

Planeswalkers

Elspeth, Sun's Champion: 3 tokens per turn, which all grow when she hits ultimate.

Bastion Protector: Helps to keep the commander on the field.

Frontline Medic: Counters an X spell, not much use vs infinite though. And Indestructible for all during combat.

Mother of Runes: Can be a counterspell of sorts, damage prevention, or evasion.

Saffi Eriksdotter: Takes a bullet for our other creatures. Good paired with Sun Titan.

Spells

Repel the Abominable: It's not Fog per say, but it could work out to benefit only us.

These cards are either highly situational or require further testing to have a permanent place in the deck.

Elder of Laurels:Useful for pushing through commander damage or making a bigger attacker/blocker dead.

Riders of Gavony: Very useful against other tribal encounters. Slivers, Elves, Goblins...

As always, thanks for your interest and suggestions, and leave a +1 if you like. Also, if its good enough for a folder, it's good enough for a vote. Happy Tapping!

Updates Add

This deck has now been retired, I am keeping the list in case I wish to build it again. It was a great deck to play but building more means dismantling others. It helps to keep things fresh as well.

I may still tweak the list some as new sets come out, and suggestions are always welcome as well. Thanks all for the support thus far, it's been a good run. Maybe one day again it will see play.
