Noble : Jace's Sanctum

Unco : Flamespeaker Adept

The main idea is to boost your Flamespeaker Adept to make a maximum damage and win. For that, we use lots of scry effect, that pump Flamespeaker Adept with +2 attack and we make it unblockable + protect it!

So you want to scry as much as possible. Most of the cards in the deck help you with that. Two of the most impotant here are Serum Visions and Preordain. Those two scry 2 and replace themselves. Pretty good to plan your future turns.

Sigiled Starfish, Augury Owl and Omenspeaker : Scry 3 and 2, good body for early turns. You want at least 1 or 2 of them as early as possible. Also, you can use Veil of Secrecy to get back Augury Owl and Omenspeaker in your hand and trigger the effect once more.

The noble Jace's Sanctum synergize pretty well with the deck in overall, by scrying one more time everytime you play an instant or sorcery. Also, the reduce cost is always welcome.

  • Veil of Secrecy : Used to protect your Flamespeaker Adept from any spell or ability. Can also be used for the unblockable effect, depending of the situation. Very versatile card. (the to Funkydiscogod)

  • Counterspell are very usefull for protecting your creature, yourself and to prevent your opponent to play any real threath. That's why we use Condescend and Mana Leak. In the sideboard, we use Negate to replace Mana Leak vs heavy spell or non-creature deck.

  • Magma Jet is just a good card. Can kill small creatures or help to deal more damage in the face. The scry also boost the Flamespeaker Adept.

To deal with enchantement like Journey to Nowhere or Armadillo Cloak, we have to rely on Negate and other counterspell OR using Echoing Truth. Actually, Echoing Truth can be used in many situation, just to bounce cards that are all named the same (also, versus a token deck, it's very good!)

Overall, you'll always gong to abuse of scry effect, that means that you usually never skip a land drop. You can always plan your next few turns by knowing what you're going to draw.. actually, you really need to think about the next cards you'll draw and what you need. Do you have any Flamespeaker Adept out or in your hand? Is it unblockable? Do you need to protect it? Do you need more scry? Do you want to disrupt your opponent play?

Also Thassa, God of the Sea, Jace, Unraveler of Secrets and Saheeli Rai could probably be some alternative noble. But personnaly, I think Jace's Sanctum is better and it's the less expensive one ;)

P.S. : Drift of Phantasms could be a very interresting choice to find your Flamespeaker Adept... but you scry so much, I don't think it's needed.

Feel free to make suggestion, feedback and/or (+1). Thx

Special thx to ibstudent2200 and Funkydiscogod for the good suggestion!
