THIS DECK IS RETIRED AND IS NO LONGER UPDATED; IT IS NOW A "CASUAL" DECK

With the banning of Ramunap Ruins and the release of Rivals of Ixalan (RIX), this is an attempt at incorporating a RIX card to keep the "land burn" option available. I splash white to include Path of Mettle  . Looking at the mana base, it seems like more than a splash, but that's because i want to reliably cast Path of Mettle   whenever I have it. So far, the diminished lands and diminished Mountains haven't hurt me.

Path of Mettle   is insanely good! It's definitely better than Ramunap Ruins. No need to sacrifice a land, no need for deserts, cheaper to activate, and it can act as defense (" Choose a creature at random that attacked this turn. Destroy that creature"). This card is too good. Hopefully, Dominaria block will provide another / land that is useful and that will smooth out the mana more. As it is, Stone Quarry is just not good enough-- too slow to end up with a dual land without other benefits.

I might consider 2x Field of Ruin instead of Scavenger Grounds for the main, then have 2x Scavenger Grounds in the sideboard for any matchups where The Scarab God could make an appearance. Just a thought.
