Deck is meant to be played extremely aggressively. Hope to get out enough devotion for a turn 4 Purphoros. By turn 5 opponent should be at 10 life if things are going well. Turn 6 is hopefully a win with either Demigod of Revenge or Nykthos for large banefire (or both!).

Whip and Hammer are there in case the game drags on longer and I can't get my devotion up. I could see myself removing both however.

On the Maybeboard, my favorites are Anathemancer, Rakdos, Lord of Riots, and Shambling Remains. With unearth, the Whip condition becomes unnecessary. Koth is also a strong consideration. With a little tweaking this can easily become a mono red deck that can turn a T5 Koth into a 9-12 point Banefire quite easily.
