Wal-mart... Do they, like, make walls there?

-Paris Hilton

UPDATE BELOW. DECK IS MUCH BETTER NOW.

A deck full of walls. The idea is to have the opponent attack me and I gain life from it. With cards like Wall of Limbs and Souls of the Faultless it can end up killing them. Stalwart Shield-Bearers is an obvious choice since they are all walls and it gives me more life when attacked. Wall of Glare is for when the board is flooded with tokens or other creatures. And finally, the backup way to win which is Tree of Perdition. Bringing them down to 13, or with Dismember and/or Profane Command it can be less. It is also a decent way of keeping their life in check if they are running life-gain.

ABOVE IS THE PREVIOUS VERSION OF THE DECK AND HOW IT WAS SUPPOSED TO WORK. IT DIDN'T. NOW IT DOES.

The deck has been ramped up a lot. The idea now is to get out a couple of either Axebane Guardian or Overgrown Battlement onto the battlefield and some other creatures with defender. You then either cast Profane Command for a huge chunk of life or maybe use Assault Fomation's ability a bunch of times. Or to just cast a bunch of creatures. Chances are Profane is what will win you the game. Another way is the Tree of Perdition and Triskaidekaphobia combo. Just make sure that you don't have 13 life and you are golden. The backup, sloppy way is to get out Colossus of Akros and make it monstrous and swing for that big dick damage. It isn't the best way to win and more or less requires Axebane or Overgrown to get a bunch of mana. But hey. Sometimes that's what you gotta do.

So, here are the differences between the two decks. The previous one was horrible in multiplayer formats. Which is mostly what my playgroup does. People would never attack and without someone attacking, the deck did literally nothing. You would play a card and pass the turn. 1v1 the deck works rather well. Not great, but it would keep you alive when you needed and deal damage when it needed. It was pretty boring to play and almost impossible to win. Mana was also an annoying problem for the deck.

Currently, this deck should give people a challenge, and with the additions of the tutors, cards that help us attack, and all that. The deck should be rather viable. Also, the deck is more budget now than before which makes me happy. If you want to up the power of the deck a bit, add in some more Tree of Perdition. Maybe add another tutor and maybe get some better lands. Other than that the deck should be decent enough and fun enough to play. ENJOY!
