The Genesis

This deck has come a long way, and is soon undergoing another update. However I want to thank DrkNinja for their input in my original brew.

The Meta

We are a friendly, casual, multiplayer group that enjoys high-powered good fun. As such, infinite combo are unwelcome, and we are enforcing the Banned List - The Command Tower that is mostly focused on mass land destruction or cards that prevent play, like Winter Orb or Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger. Also we decided not to use Sol Ring because that just frees one spot for everyone in every deck to play something different.

The Strategy

The base for the deck is obviously the Fist of Suns ability of Jodah, Archmage Eternal, and using it to cast several cards with prohibitive mana values. The expensive creatures can also be played for free using Court of Bounty or Lurking Predators. Alternatively, creatures can be also be cast for cheap using Quicksilver Amulet or Myojin of Life's Web. Other ways to capitalize on having so many expensive mana values are the draw ability of Demonlord Belzenlok, and the damage from Baneful Omen or Twilight Prophet. Keeping the top of the deck in check can seal the deal, so Scroll Rack is a great piece here, as well as Sylvan Library
