This version of Meren of Clan Nel Toth tries to bypass as much of the "put into hand" mechanics and goes straight for the battlefield. Several of the tutor cards are out of my budget at the moment, so I went with creatures that tutor or bring back creatures from the grave upon entering the battlefield.

Sheoldred, Whispering One and Razaketh, the Foulblooded as well as good ol' Birthing Pod = direct battlefield action.

Panharmonicon and Strionic Resonator help double trigger shenanigans and exploit any ETB effects. Card:strionic Resonator works so well with Meren's abilities, whether you want more experience counters or use it towards the end to fish a second creature out of your graveyard. Panharmonicon will trigger any incoming abilities those creatures may have, which can be useful both early on in the game for ramping or later in the game for other more serious combos.

All in all, it's a really fun deck to play even at the current budget state. There are so many possibilities within so I never feel it's the same old grind.
