Loving Ghave, Guru of Spores so I made a deck for him, my other fungi cards, plants and chucked elementals in there for good measure. Surprisingly brutal against my pals but I wouldn't 1v1 a trample or control deck if I didn't have to.

Sadly there's no Corn tribal in magic yet, so the Saprolings are making do until the "Corn Legions" idea makes it's way up to management.

I have so much fun with this deck, even though it's a little bit mathsy, because of the theme,

Often Ghave isn't even needed to take a win, keep some of the #Core cards around and you'll be fine. Fair warning: don't try to run this for a long-haul game unless you're prepared for some serious maths. I bought Retribution of the Ancients specifically so that I could have an easier time managing the +1/+1's (although it has saved my skin on numerous occasions). I kept using up everyone's dice!

Some great combinations to look forward to are Mycoloth + Nissa, Voice of Zendikar for sacrificing. Heroes' Bane + Retribution of the Ancients to pull counters off of it or Fungal Sprouting/Korozda Guildmage to create a massive army (I got 40 Sappos in 1 turn), Ghave can go with any source of +1/+1's but is handy with Corpsejack Menace + Ghave, Guru of Spores + Rot Shambler or Phantom Tiger/Mistcutter Hydra as sources of saprolings early on. Using Forgotten Ancient + Mycoid Shepherd + Nissa, Voice of Zendikar to build up an army of 5/5's would be great because it would deter MY friends, at least, from board wiping. There's so many different options, it's fantastic. Plus, that aesthetic right.? I've found, a winning start often begins with Fists of Ironwood + Khalni Garden as your first few plays.

Forgotten Ancient is near invaluable in this deck, although I wouldn't swap anything out for another; its synergy with Longshot Squad + Mycoid Shepherd + Mycoloth or any other relevant creature (hydras, phantom tigers and of course Ghave) is often what gives this deck the win. It provides constant and frequent counters in multiplayer games to benefit other creatures' abilities yet somehow never attracts enough attention to get targeted (assuming it isn't the only thing on the board). I personally never leave more than a couple +1/+1's on it by the end of my upkeep to avoid drawing attention to it.

I'll get around to updating this description eventually, I swear. Bravo if you read through all my rambling as well :)

WHAT DOMINARIA CARDS SHOULD I LOOK OUT FOR???
