My favorite standard deck has resurfaced in pirate form! Mono-Blue tempo augmented by obnoxious evasive creatures to peck away at my enemies while they flounder about helplessly. No Military Intelligence this time around, but Chart a Course works in a pinch.

UPDATE With rotation right around the corner, this deck very notably loses out on Skyship Plunderer, a very key card that synergized with both Jace, Cunning Castaway and Lookout's Dispersal. Unsummon also gets left behind, but this is less important as bounce spells are not exactly hard to come by. With the pirate synergy hampered, and Jace losing his loyalty-generator, this deck will need to be reworked a bit.

Thankfully, Dimir gives us several new toys to play with, all of which possess Surveil and fit nicely into the "obnoxious blue tempo" category: these include Sinister Sabotage, Unexplained Disappearance and Nightveil Sprite. Hell, if Surveil proves to be as good as it looks, Thoughtbound Phantasm and Narcomoeba might even come in! We'll see...
