This is my own, original brew. I’m really proud of it. It all came together because of a little card I was having difficulty dealing with. As someone who likes to mill people out, Gaea's Blessing has been super annoying. There are several ways of dealing with it, like exiling it from their graveyard or countering it if they cast it but I decided to take a different approach....an entire work around. What if instead of the typical mill deck that puts cards from my opponent’s library into their graveyard, I force them to draw their entire deck...and have them discard! And thus, this janky deck was born. Thank you Gaea’s Blessing for .... blessing me?

There are at least 3 known different win scenarios. Game plan A: Mill your opponents by having them draw their entire deck in a single, explosive turn! (I’ve done this successfully against even 100-200 card decks on Arena.) Game plan B: Teferi, Hero of Dominaria ’s ultimate (duh). Game plan C: Karn, Scion of Urza produces massive beaters off the abundance of Smothering Tithe treasures you’ll be creating with which you can beat face.

Game Plan A: The Combo Route Induced Amnesia + Overflowing Insight + Smothering Tithe : Survival should be the early game focus. You have to protect your life total until you get your combo pieces down. So a good hand to keep is one with minimum 2 lands but preferably 3 (one must be white), one board wipe, and card draw that gains you life. This will allow you to hit land drops, gain life and board wipe until you begin assembling the pieces you need. There are lots of ways to make it happen from here, but generally I like to have a Smothering Tithe on the battlefield and enough mana to cast Overflowing Insight . Your opponent won’t have any clue what you’re up to so they’ll typically use up all their mana on their turn. Then you cast Overflowing Insight during your first main phase, targeting your opponent. They draw seven cards. Smothering Tithe triggers and you will get seven treasures. You can now use the treasures to cast Induced Amnesia , targeting your opponent. They exile their hand and draw that many cards. Smothering Tithe will trigger again and net you a mountain of treasures. With them you can now cast card draw spells, cast a planeswalker, cast Recollect or Flood of Recollection to retrieve Overflowing Insight or another spell you want from your graveyard and so on and so on. If you play it right, you will almost certainly mill you opponent out, or have them concede. It’s truly satisfying!

Something else you should know.... Induced Amnesia says when it enters the graveyard from the battlefield, return all cards exiled with it to it’s owner’s hand. So sometimes I will cast Naturalize on my own Induced Amnesia in order to maximize my opponent’s hand size before casting another Induced Amnesia . Also of note, if your opponent bounces or exiles your Induced Amnesia , their cards remain exiled permanently! Gotta read the fine print. :)

Updates Add

After playing many games with this deck, I've made a few adjustments. It now seems more consistent and slightly more competitive. It still struggles (roughly 40/60) against aggro decks because they can bounce back from board wipes (sometimes) faster than I can get another board wipe out. It can feel a little clunky at times because the mana curve is so harsh - but when it works it feels so incredible.

Anyways here's what I've done,

OUT:

Arcane Encyclopedia - It's just too slow!

Naturalize - It's unnecessary, though at times it could speed up the game a little. But I felt there were better cards to take up that slot.

IN:

Shimmer of Possibility - It's not Telling Time but it's still a pretty decent filter/draw spell and slots in where Arcane Encyclopedia was.

Teferi, Hero of Dominaria - I put in a second copy of this bad boy. Because reasons.

Search for Azcanta  Flip - I put in a second copy of this one too. Because, well it's just that good.
