The point of this deck is to cycle a lot of creatures, and get
God-Pharaoh's Gift
onto the battlefield to win.
Card Choice Explanations
Archfiend of Ifnir - Cycles for 2 and can wipe an opponents board by cycling a few cards.
Champion of Wits - Helps get creatures into the graveyard and helps filter cards in hand. Also comes back as a 4/4 draw 4 discard 2, which is a lot of value.
Countervailing Winds - A counter spell that fits this deck well because it becomes super hard to pay the cost.
Curator of Mysteries - Cycles for 1 and helps filter draws when cycling.
Gate to the Afterlife - Mostly used to get
God-Pharaoh's Gift
, but also can gain some life here and there.
God-Pharaoh's Gift
- The main win-con in the deck. Brings back any of the creatures we have cycled as a 4/4 and makes
Vile Manifestation
bigger.
Grasp of Darkness - Consistent removal.
Hollow One
- Can be cycled for 2, but is usually cast for free due to constant cycling.
Horror of the Broken Lands - Mostly just to cycle to activate Gate to the Afterlife, but sometimes can be used a buffable creature.
Lurching Rotbeast - Cheap cycler that can be brought back.
Striped Riverwinder - Mostly used to cycle, but can come back as a 4/4 with hexproof.
The Scarab God
- A big body that drains opponents and scrys plus can bring things back itself.
Vile Manifestation
- A good blocker that gets bigger as cards are cycled and can be cycled itself. Also when it comes back it becomes massive as it's a 4/4 with the same ability.
