Most mono-red burn decks sound something like spellspellspellspellspell, very rapid fire, spraying Lightning Bolts and Monastery Swiftspears everywhere. This one goes for a different approach: SPELL. SPELL. SPELL, dealing huge chunks of damage for cheap. Cards with high mana costs that get discounts and the spells to take advantage of them provide the firepower.

Some synergies here amplify the explosioniness even further. Toralf, God of Fury   and Nahiri's Wrath or Blasphemous Act should be a complete blowout. (The more blasphemous you are, the harder you get smited by the god of fury. Makes sense, right?) Crystal Ball sets up big damage for Heretic's Punishment (for more heresy-smiting action), which feeds into Bedlam Reveler and Chandra's Incinerator. Basically, don't make a god of fury mad.

Updates: look for more direct player damage, and find something to do on turn 1--go back to Lightning Bolts?
