So, where to start...
I love the two drops.
Adanto Vanguard is bonkers, and putting an On Serra's Wings on him is just silly.
Knight of Grace is naturally strong against Golgari decks.
Knight of Malice is naturally strong aganst W/B control decks.
Overall, they make a pretty strong and low to the ground creature base.
Top it off with History of Benalia and this deck has the ability to bring the heat. A History and a pair of Knights will straight up win games and there is not much your opponent can do about it.
I also love that I can run Shalai, Voice of Plenty in the main board. She makes a resilient deck even stronger.
However, this deck is also great at the grind.
I've pulled back on the removal a little bit with the addition of 2 Lyras and my 3rd History of Benalia, but I've still got quite the spread.
Cast Down, Ixalan's Binding, Ravenous Chupacabra, Seal Away, and Settle the Wreckage.
So, if your opponent plays it, you can be pretty sure you'll have an answer.
Ajani, Adversary of Tyrants is great here, he just does so much.
Not only will he bring back my two drops, putting counters on my Knights and passing the turn feels great.
It makes your opponent swing in to your first strikers and your big-butted Shalai and it almost never goes their way.
I'm glad to be down to just 1 Demonlord Belzenlok, but I'm happy to have him stay in as a singleton.
He's a big 6/6 flier and helps me find my Lyra Dawnbringer, though Doom Whisperer is still strictly better. Maybe one day I'll open one.
