Hello Internet!!!

enter image description here

I made an attempt at a cEDH level of this deck (even though it's not one of the top commanders to pick from). Follow the link for updates and the list here: cEDH Level Windgrace?

Just your run of the mill constructed Spike looking to have a little fun with friends playing commander! I'm trying to do powerful things here but not have a consistent turn 3-4 kill like you see in cEDH decks. So there's going to obviously be better options or inclusions I could put in here, but I'm trying to keep this at a moderate power level that's still fun to play with and against.

After some time upgrading and playing with this deck it has easily become one of my favorites. It's consistent, powerful, and has a streamlined game plan of trowing lands around from each zone. The deck's game plan is also very innocuous and can fly under the radar until you put the pieces together for one huge combo turn.

Primary win cons are:

  1. The Gitrog Monster + Dakmor Salvage + Skirge Familiar + Cut / Ribbons = Infinite Black mana and mana sink (Kozilek, Butcher of Truth needs to still be in the deck and makes sure we don't mill out).
  2. Omnath, Locus of Rage + Mass Landfall effects (Lord Windgrace, Scapeshift, Splendid Reclamation, etc...) + Mass Hysteria = ALOT of volitile, hasty 5/5 tokens primed for killing
  3. Titania, Protector of Argoth + Land sac effects (Squandered Resources or Zuran Orb, or Scapeshift, etc...) + Mass Hysteria = Army of 5/3 hasty tokens ready to kill
  4. Good old Thespian's Stage + Dark Depths!!!
  5. Prismatic Omen + Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle + Scapeshift = As long as there are 6 or more lands entering you can trigger Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle to deal massive amounts of damage. Combo it with Vesuva for double triggers (the combo also works as a repeatable damage source to keep boards clean)
  6. Borborygmos Enraged + Creeping Renaissance = Throwing lands for removal and direct damage
  7. Additional Degenerate landfall based value that can easily comeback after a sweeper or mass wipe effect

Other card choices involve plenty of "Play Additional Land" effects, rampant growth/cultivate like ramp effects, catch-all removal, and a generous amount of card advantage. It also helps too that our commander is an excellent source of card advantage!

So please feel free to comment with any card choices, ideas, critiques, or to simply say hello! Just remember though, competition breeds excellence!!!
