Arjun's Shifting Flames

Commander: Arjun, the Shifting Flame

Overview: Arjun's Shifting Flames is a deck focused on card draw, spell manipulation, and finding powerful win conditions. Arjun's ability to shuffle your hand into your library and draw a new hand provides exciting gameplay and unpredictable outcomes. By utilizing card draw spells, combos, and strategic plays, you'll overwhelm your opponents with an ever-changing arsenal of spells and seize victory.

Key Strategy: The primary strategy of this deck revolves around leveraging Arjun's ability to constantly shuffle your hand and draw new cards. By maximizing card draw spells and manipulating your library, you'll find win conditions and assemble game-winning combos. Use powerful spells and creatures to control the board, disrupt your opponents, and secure victory.

Card Selection:

Card Draw: Include cards like Rhystic Study, Thought Reflection, and Teferi's Ageless Insight to fuel your hand with a constant stream of cards. The more cards you draw, the more opportunities you have to find game-winning combos and overwhelming spells. Win Conditions: Cards like Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind, The Locust God, and Psychosis Crawler offer powerful win conditions that synergize well with Arjun's ability. Use these creatures to deal damage, generate tokens, and control the board. Use the card manipulation provided by Arjun and other spells to assemble these combos efficiently. Control and Disruption: Spells like Commit / Memory, Cranial Archive, and Vandalblast allow you to control the board, disrupt opponents' strategies, and reset the game state when needed. Mana Base: The mana base consists of a mix of dual lands, basic lands, and utility lands to ensure a smooth mana curve. Jan 27, 2018 first playtest, my 34th edh deck in a 31st colour combination :-).

Edit: made a lot of changes, took out the Confusion in the Ranks plus all the dash creatures, put in more card draw spells. Much better. Just updated this decklist Jan or Feb 2019.

You can see the Confusion in the Ranks package I removed in the Sideboard. Now, I am using Arjun, the Shifting Flame and other card draw spells to find win conditions. You can use Parallel Thoughts to grab card draw spells, Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker, Zealous Conscripts and/or Mycosynth Lattice, Vandalblast and Hurkyl's Recall. Merchant Scroll into Long-Term Plans finds anything. Thought Reflection is fun with Arjun, the Shifting Flame and things like Psychosis Crawler and another combo piece, Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind.

Explore new possibilities with each hand and assemble powerful combos to overwhelm your opponents. Good luck and enjoy your journey with Arjun at the helm!
