Intro

Showcasing Golgari's signature removal and aggression, this deck is a tribute to monster hunters and their demons.

Typical games start with playing Chevill, Bane of Monsters on turn 2 and then a removal spell on turn 3 which draws a card and gains 3 life.

From there gameplay continues with ramp, low cost aggressive creatures, and a removal spell each turn to keep new bounty counters coming and deck velocity high. The goal is to use attrition to overwhelm the board in classic Rock style.

Demons are powerful creatures with low mana costs because they demand sacrifices, either in your life total or loss of a creature. So they fit well with a commander who draws you a card and gains you life every turn. They also add repeatable removal to your arsenal to help trigger that commander's ability.

How to Win

Demons deal massive combat damage while removal disrupts opponents for the win.

For finishers, Shaman of Forgotten Ways brings opponents within lethal range, Vraska, Golgari Queen 's ultimate turns every demon into a nuke, Garruk, Cursed Huntsman 's ultimate sets up alpha strikes, and Liliana's Contract can steal games if 4 demons are in play.
