Mutate (ability): If you cast this spell for its mutate cost, put it ontop or underneath target non-Human creature you own. They mutate into the creature that is on top and that creature has all the abilities of every card that is underneath it.

Menace (evasion ability): A creature with menace can't be blocked except by two or more creatures.

Deck :

Snapdax, Apex of the Hunt becomes the ultimate predator once it mutates into one of your keyword-heavy creatures in this aggressive, menace-themed deck. Construct your monster using the creatures below and Call of the Death-Dweller to give it double strike and some combination of deathtouch, lifelink, menace and an additional special ability:

  • Vampire of the Dire Moon (double strike, mutate special ability, deathtouch, lifelink)
  • Knight of the Ebon Legion (double strike, mutate special ability, activated ability: this creature gets +3/+3 and gains deathtouch until end of turn, conditional +1/+1 counters)
  • Dreadhorde Butcher (double strike, mutate special ability, haste, conditional +1/+1 counter generator, when this creature dies it deals damage equal to its power to any target.)
  • Labyrinth Raptor (doublestrike, mutate special ability, menace, conditional sacrifice/removal, +1/+0 menace-creature buff)
  • Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger (double strike, mutate special ability, whenever this creature attacks each opponent discards a card then each opponent who didn't discard a nonland card this way loses 3 life)
  • Pestilent Spirit (double strike, mutate special ability, deathtouch, menace, instant and sorcery spells you control have deathtouch)
  • Lurrus of the Dream-Den (double strike, mutate special ability, lifelink, during each of your turns, you may cast one permanent spell with converted mana cost 2 or less from your graveyard.) Synergy with all 2 or less cost creatures in the deck.

Call of the Death-Dweller has a high level of synergy in this deck as it gives you the ability to add additional keyword abilities deathtouch and menace onto your resurrected wennies and it helps you set up how you want to “construct” finisher Snapdax, Apex of the Hunt once it mutates onto the battlefield. You can use this card with Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger to maximize use of its ETB.
