This is a fairly budget friendly control/burn deck centered around the Boros Bros Firesong and Sunspeaker. Honestly it came into being on a bit of a whim. I never considered building them myself but eventually it occurred to me that I rarely messed with white in my decks. They were a buy a box promo that no one else in my playgroup had or talked about. Seemed like they deserved to shine so I acquired them and shortly after this deck was born. Mostly of cards that I had lying around so I am aware there's still upgrades and help that it probably needs. Suggestions and comments are always welcome!

The strategy with this deck is to get Firesong and Sunspeaker on the board and utilize your various red burn and white destruction spells to generate value through life gain. Mind's Eye and Well of Lost Dreams are great at helping these colors gain a little bit of card draw but there is a couple of looting spells like Faithless Looting to help us get what we need a little faster.

As I haven't ordered anything for this deck yet the lands are probably among the first upgrades I will be looking into but for now in my recent games it seems faiurl consistent combined with the various rocks I've included to help with fixing.

Sunforger has proven to be an all star here. Most times when I'm casting Open the Armory I'm looking for this because it allows me to go get and cast any low cost wipe or targeted removal I might be in need of. Legitimately has stolen games for me on more than one occasion. One of the more amusing interactions though is to use it to go and retrieve Final Fortune to gain ourselves another turn. Then use that second turn to equip Sunforger again use it's ability to go and get Angel's grace so you don't have to worry about losing the game after that extra turn is done. Pure value on a budget in my humble opinion.

Sunbond is super broken with Firesong and Sunspeaker's ability to gain life with every red instant or sorcery. Even something as simple as Sweltering Suns or Pyroclasm can easily turn them into a +20/+20 or more beatstick that can then take advantage of a freshly wiped board to take someone out.

Repercussion is an obvious include in any burn deck. Wipe the board and it kills your opponents for you. Sure it'll hit you too when your creatures take the damage but you'll gain so much life from your commander that it's irrelevant.

Aetherflux Reservoir is a must include for any deck with lots of life gain. Because what's the point of having tons of life if you can't then use that all powerful resource to nuke someone out of the game?
